And he had a limp.” The air leaves the room. “Did you see his face?” Vorlag presses. The man blinks, breathing unevenly before his lines come back to him. “I saw a scar,” Barton says. “On his cheek. The moonlight caught it.”

He yells out, drawing everyones attention to us. "The chick is Claire," Claire answers him, matter-of-factly, and he snorts like a pig. "And what's your name?" "They call me Dr Clint," Clint answers her, giving a bogus nickname that none of us has ever given him. "I specialise in virginity removal." There's a roar of laughter behind him as some of the boys pat him on the back for his crude comment. "That's really gross," Claire says back to him, pulling a face of disgust and making me chuckle.

"Alpha Rowland is infected," Bart announced, looking around at the other council members. The room erupted in chaos as the council members threw questions at Bart and started to murmur amongst themselves. I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach as I tried to process what was happening.
