He looked like a Spirit wolf. The Gamma launched at him, but Damien successfully dodged. The Gamma attacked again, and Damien dodged. They were at it for a while with Damien dodging every attack. It was clear Alex didn't want to hurt him. Getting frustrated he turned to mist to attack, but Damien did something no spirit wolf had ever done before. He stood on his hind legs, grabbed the head of the mist and pinned it down. A golden light began to emit from him. The rest of the pack backed away, afraid of being touched by the light. The Gamma became whole again under Damien's paws, and Alex spoke in what seemed like a roar.

All unmated wolves, over eighteen, come to find their mates. I saw Sarah and waved as she looked up. Grabbing Troy’s arm, she made her way over to Jackson and me. “Damn Sarah, are you kissing Jackson too?” Troy said jokingly, “your lipstick is the same color as Em’s!” He was the only one who laughed at his joke. “Maybe Em is the one kissing you, ever thought of that?” Sarah said in return as she glared at Troy. Out of the corner of my eye, I could have sworn I saw Sarah throw a close call glance at Jackson. I shrugged it off.

He heard Cameron's voice through the mind link, just as a rogue bit his shoulder, but before the rogue's canine could go any further, Callan grabbed the rogue's jaw and snapped it. Blaze looked back at the troop, who had already transformed into wolves, and raced away. "No…" Triana tugged on his arm. "First, let's take a look at what's out there."
