An obsidian stone is inside my seal, and the guards fall over themselves to let us inside once they know who I am. The wall is ridiculously tall, made of thick, reinforced steel. I crane my neck back, move my hair back to see it all. The portly guard pulls a lever, and a portion of it lowers. Clunky and groaning, the ice flys out, the gate forcing its way open. The gate lowers completely, warm water slowly trickles out, and the inside of Estate Eclipse is steaming. I grab onto Dante and he helps me past the blocks of ice until we cross the other side of the gate.

To fill the adrenaline pulsing through my body as the rush of the moment overtakes me. An hour later we barge in the warehouse finding their men unaware playing cards. Before they can react we fire, the smell of gunpowder and timber fills the air as I march looking for Valdor — the second in command. “Where's Valdor?” I ask looking through the number of people. They shrug and I get in further to the warehouse. “Valdor,” I call, finding him sniffing cocaine. His eyes widen when he sees me. He scrambles to reach for his gun but I shake my head. “Don't even try it.”

Ivy opened her eyes to see the clone—eyes now glowing gold—stepping forward in eerie silence. Killian tried to grab Ivy, but an invisible force flung him against the wall. Aiden raised his gun, but the metal twisted in his hand like it was made of clay. Isolde stood smiling, her eyes drinking in the chaos. “Do you see now? She’s not just a backup. She’s a vessel.” The clone spoke in a voice that was not hers: “You summoned me.” Ivy staggered back, clutching the bone fragment. It was cold now. Lifeless.

I used the man as a shield and I smiled at the shocked faces of the santa clauses. "You shoot, he dies..you know that right?" "Shoot him!" What? I'm using one of them as shield right now but the commander is saying they should shoot? Even the others tried to oppose. "But sir, we'll shoot him with Red." "Yeah..you better listen to him." The Cerberus unit split. Two clones engaged Jack, pressing him with a flurry of coordinated blade strikes that forced him entirely on the defensive. The third clone sprinted at Marcus. It was a slaughter. The clone ducked under Marcus's swing, swept his legs, and kicked the massive soldier across the room. Marcus hit the wall with a bone-crunching thud, his armor cracking.
