ALANA The fire glowed against the low-hanging clouds like a second sun, feral and hungry, consuming the steel skeleton of the freight yard with rage that didn’t belong to the flames alone. I saw it from the rooftop, where I stood with a surveillance scope and Roman’s old comms rig strapped to my shoulder. Zach’s voice buzzed in my ear, muffled with static, heavy with fury.
