IRIS'S POV WHO'S WATCHING? As soon as we moved, Leon and Rhys charged from their positions, flanking the spies. The moment the whistle echoed, chaos erupted. One of the spies, a tall figure cloaked in dark clothing, darted toward the trees, but Leon was faster, tackling him to the ground. I lunged at another figure, a smaller, quicker one. They tried to slip past me, but I was ready. I grabbed their arm, yanking them back.

He had a cocky laugh, even making eye contact with some of his coworkers to show how everyone thought I was being pretty funny. “I am well aware Miss Adler.” He said. “You have my word that they won’t.” His word meant nothing to me, so after we went inside I put Clara’s pink headphones over her ears and played Totally Spies on her tablet. She was sitting on the couch, only a few metres away from me, but she wouldn’t be able to hear whatever he wanted to ask me. It wasn’t like his questions would be done in private either way. There were plenty of agents walking around, looking my apartment up and down in search of anything illegal they could use against me.

Clover spoke. The guy rolled his eyes. “Are you here for me?” “I am.” Clover nodded. “And I think you know why I’m here.” The guy had a fearless smirk on his face and looked at the officers. Agent Clover had quickly lost his patience and pulled out his handcuffs. He yanked him from the couch before pushing him down onto the ground. A few of the girls seated on the sofa yelled and backed away while Agent Clover did the usual ‘you’re under arrest’ speech. Any other person would probably freak out over this, but not me.

Aria sat beside her, her hands twisting nervously. “Look at her,” Clara whispered, her eyes fixed on Elara. “Everyone smiles for her. Everyone bows to her. Does it not make your blood boil?” Aria swallowed hard. “It does. But… what if we are seen? What if they notice us?” Clara gave her a cold look. “Do not be weak, Aria. Tonight is not for fear. Tonight is the beginning.” Nearby, the spy moved silently among the servants, carrying a tray of drinks. His face looked calm, but his eyes were sharp, watching every move. He slipped between the guests, listening to whispers, storing secrets.

Almost afraid. He turned his laptop toward me. A grainy still, sharpened and zoomed. A face caught mid-turn, checking the hallway before bolting. It was Clover. Not a stranger hired by some nameless enemy. My best friend, standing in my own office at midnight with an electronic descrambler pressed to my safe. "That's not possible," I said, my voice sounding like it belonged to someone else. "She doesn't even have clearance for this floor after hours." "She used someone else's badge," Killian said. "There's more."

Alexa warned and I scoffed. "Why are you so afraid of him? He's human, isn't he?" I asked. "Seriously girl, you don't know him, two years earlier. There was a spy in the institur. It didn't even take two weeks before Alex found the spy.." Alexa said. "So what happened to the spy?" I asked Curiously. "He was killed by Alex. He was shot on the head.." Clover explained, his head still lowered. “Where are they now?” “They’re at the Ice Prison. Grand Lord believes they’re working with the spy, so they’re being tortured.” “Okay. What about the investigation? How is it going?” “No traces of who might have done this yet,” Clover replied. “The bullet?” Madden pressed. Clover knitted his brows. “8 . 5 . 2 was written on it. That’s the only thing.” “Mhm. What clan uses digits? This is a message. I would’ve attacked Diego, but he’s too stupid to use digits.”

Clover smiled and drove to Jasmine's home and was giggling. "I find it funny that Seb has a type…both of us are really pretty and have beautiful eyes…hmm he certainly has a type," Clover said. "Oh um I guess he does," Jasmine said and looked at Clover. "Just don't fall into a trap, he can get crazy over time," Clover said. "Excuse me?" Clover hates eating late. As six o’clock approaches, there’s another knock. Clover steps in and her top layer of clothing is gone. Shes now sleeveless in a fitted shirt and flowing pants, just clean lines. She looks unreal. My mouth actually waters. “You ready?” she asks. “Yes,” I manage. We head to the garage. I open the door for her. “Oh,” she says, smiling. “I like this car.” “It’s a BMW SUV. I know you like them.”

Our manager is one tough cookie to crack,a minute late he will lecture you to for being tardy wishing you'd crawl back and never be seen. I sigh as I take out my contacts for my disguise looks.After all have been through and deciding to cloak myself as Marie,I also had to change my looks choosing a blonde wig and blue eye contacts hiding my grey eyes.I also had to tan myself a bit to hide my pale skin.I closed my eyes letting myself fall into slumber with only one thought in mind,time to reign.
