The Lost Alphas Daughter
The beast does not stop.
“Please… let me go,” I whisper, my voice trembling, barely audible. I feel him stiffen. A heavy paw presses down, claws scraping lightly across my bare skin until it rests just below my ribs. The air grows thick as a faint whimper escapes me, but the beast’s chest rumbles with a snarl, vibrating against my back. The claws prick deeper—a silent warning. Any more movement, and I will be torn apart.
“You’re hurting me,” I breathe, hoping my words will reach him. For a fleeting second, I think I hear a whine, but his tongue resumes its slow sweep over my throat.
