She didn't care that she was hurting herself, or that she was about to fall unconscious if she exerted any more pressure on herself. The only thing she wanted was to get away from Aztec Marshall. The IV Aztec had returned on her arm was once again ripped and this time, Sandra was bleeding. "I said. Do. Not. Make. A. Move.” Aztec said, using the alpha command and that was all it took for Gemma Stevens to punch the fuck out of the unexpecting alpha, making the alpha land on the ground. She was pissed, and had had enough of Aztec treating her best friend like shit.

I let the beast loose. With a howl that shook the rafters, I launched at him, my full strength unleashed. My claws sank into his side, tearing through fur and muscle, and he yelped, twisting to escape. I didn’t let him. I seized his arm—one of those damned healed limbs—and yanked, hurling him into the air. He crashed into the shattered remains of the table, wood splintering beneath him. Before he could rise, I was on him, my fist slamming into his jaw with a sickening crunch. Blood sprayed, his head snapping back, but he still clawed at me, weaker now, desperate.

And then it swiped down powerfully towards Magma with its claws still covered in ice.

Lucien’s boots struck the marble floor hard as he rushed forward, the sound ricocheting against the walls like a warning drum. I bared my teeth in a snarl, the beast clawing at my throat, heat still roaring through me. My claws slashed at the air, a guttural growl vibrating low in my chest. I didn’t want him near. I didn’t want anyone near. “Stay back,” I snarled, though the words trembled, distorted by the animal in me.

The beast does not stop. “Please… let me go,” I whisper, my voice trembling, barely audible. I feel him stiffen. A heavy paw presses down, claws scraping lightly across my bare skin until it rests just below my ribs. The air grows thick as a faint whimper escapes me, but the beast’s chest rumbles with a snarl, vibrating against my back. The claws prick deeper—a silent warning. Any more movement, and I will be torn apart. “You’re hurting me,” I breathe, hoping my words will reach him. For a fleeting second, I think I hear a whine, but his tongue resumes its slow sweep over my throat.

“Well, the answer is in front of you. Examine it for the limited time you have. But believe me, whatever you see here will never leave this place!” I leap at no one in particular and accomplish to pin down three men with my big body and long limbs. Without any form of remorse, I violently swing my claws against their skin and flesh, ripping them apart and staining them with their blood. The others scamper to their feet in an attempt for survival, which I won’t allow them to have!

From somewhere in the house, a yelp echoes, then blooms into a howl. Claws scrabble on tiles and Bear explodes from the lounge, paws skidding on the smooth floor. He slips on the thin rug, briefly sledging along the hall, then regains his footing. Like some black and tan express train, at full pelt, front paws outstretched, he takes a flying leap, and a hundred and twenty pounds of Rottweiler rockets into Klempner, catching him squarely on the chest... Whoaaaaa... ... and arms windmilling, as gravity takes charge, the pair go down together.
