A beast's power is measured by its mutation level. Level 10 beasts are capable of killing 10 humans and a level 1 beast is capable of immobilizing a human and if left they can completely kill the human and there are also level 100 beasts that rarely come out of their hiding and they are capable of destroyin

KYLA'S POV The world was screaming. The Void-Beast let out a sound that wasn't a roar, but a vacuum of noise—a hollow shriek that sucked the air right out of my lungs. Everywhere the creature's white, skeletal fingers touched, the vibrant life of the glade withered into icy gray ash. The honey lake, my sanctuary of warmth, was beginning to turn sluggish and cold, its golden surface filming over with a thin sheet of black ice that felt like needles against my skin.

Eldrick didn't give it room to breathe; he surged forward, his clawed hand plunging directly through the creature’s sternum. But instead of hot blood, a geyser of pressurized, black ice erupted from the wound, instantly freezing Eldrick's forearm in a sheath of jagged frost. He snarled through locked teeth, ripping his limb free with enough sheer, terrifying force to shatter the ice casing and tear the beast’s ribcage clean open. "They don't bleed!" Eldrick roared, sweeping his heavy leg around to smash a second leaping beast midair, sending its gaunt frame skittering fifty yards across the riverbank. "Their life force is tied to the mist!"
