Like Declan, he takes his time looking over my outfit. “So it’s true,” he says, his voice carefully measured. He’s not as good at hiding his emotions as Declan is though, so some of his anger cracks through, infesting his words. “You are working…”

She tried to maintain the frequency, to weave our emotions into her cold design, but she couldn't. It was too bright. It was too chaotic. It was too loud.

She raised her brows. “Seriously?” He narrowed his eyes at her. “Yes, seriously! Ah yous should check it out too, come I’ll read it out to you, it’s great!” She clapped her hands in excitement. “No thank you, you know I don’t read romance,” He shook his head. “But it’s a unique one,” She protested, “A popular mystery/thriller writer is thrown inside her own novel! How cool is that?” “Hmm?” he raised his brows. “Did it pick your interest?” She wiggled her brows. “Ah, the guy has the same name as you, by the way,” She added.

He pulled his hat low and left. Days later, a body was found by a frozen lake. His face was purple and unrecognizable from the cold. I recognized the jacket. It was the gift I gave Frank for our first anniversary. Livio covered my eyes as the news played. "Don't watch. You'll have nightmares." He turned off the TV, pulling me close. I smiled, "You're right. I won't watch it anymore." The End
