Confusing Sentences That Make No Sense Novels & Stories

I was so damn confused I didn’t understand what he was saying or what I was hearing. Was I missing something? Because I didn’t get it.

Jai and Darrion kept silent for a few seconds before they realized the sentences do not make sense. “Huh?” Both of them reflexively muttered. “So in a sense, we have to find yellow strands, floating bar, and uhh… Part of us? Hilary muttered slowly, in a voice that barely loud but audible enough to Megan's hearing. Alright, Megan was getting much more confuse, unable to comprehend much meaning into what Hilary was saying. To her, it seems like Hilary is speaking in idioms and parables, they are way too difficult to understand, and it's frustrating! “Cut the parables and idiom, please, will you? She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before talking again, “Look, I am not playing dumb. I truly am having trouble understanding what you are trying to imply.” she was already fuming.
