“Language,” Edric murmured with a smirk, lifting a croissant to my lips. “Eat.”
I took a bite. Nearly sobbed.
“Is this… almond and ambrosia?”
He grinned. “Only the best.”
I sipped my coffee. “If I die today, let it be in velvet and pastry.”
Mr. Yellow chomped on a carrot stick. “You won’t die. Not unless Clarence finds out what you said about her rhinestone belt last week.”
