Chasing Storm

Chasing Storm

If I didn't know better, I'd say, I have a headache. Last night when I got to the cafe, it was so much fun between I and Rose. Her surprises, she got me a recipe book and some flavours for icing doughnuts and cupcakes. It makes me want to jump right to the kitchen, but I have class. I shrugged out of bed careful not to trigger the ache anymore than its already triggered. I showered and got dressed in a simple shirt and black jean pants. The trip to my kitchen seemed like a long journey but I made it without a moment to waste.

No Longer Yours, Alpha

No Longer Yours, Alpha

“You’ve been working so hard lately. Why don’t you take the rest of the evening off? Treat yourself.” Vivi hesitated, but eventually nodded with a grateful little curtsy. “If you’re sure… Thank you, miss.” Once she was alone, Daphne let herself breathe and focus on the meal. She couldn’t risk Vivi's sharp eyes catching onto her secret yet. Storm liked simple, hearty things after long days, nothing too fancy. She remembered the first time she cooked for him roasted vegetables, grilled meat with his favorite spice blend, and a simple chocolate cake. He hadn’t said much, but he’d cleared his plate twice and then made love to her right there on the same table like a wild beast. That night felt l

RIDE ME MORE, DADDY

RIDE ME MORE, DADDY

“Though if you poison me, at least I’ll die doing something interesting.” Kane’s low chuckle did unfair things to my stomach. “Noted. Try not to die on my floor. Blood’s a bitch to clean.” He moved around the small space with quiet efficiency, adding ingredients, stirring. The smell of meat, herbs, and something earthy filled the cabin, mixing with the woodsmoke. Outside, the storm showed no signs of easing. Rain lashed the windows. Every thunderclap felt closer, more intimate. We ate at the rough table, bowls balanced on our knees because there weren’t exactly chairs for company. The stew was rich and gamey, better than it had any right to be.

The Substitute Bride's Bargain

The Substitute Bride's Bargain

She had simply set the plates there, the two of them side by side on the high stools with the candles between them and the storm at the window behind the sink. She had made a kind of frittata. This was what it was — eggs, cream, the leek, the cheese, the herbs, cooked in the heavy pan and finished in the warmth of the oven which ran on gas and had survived the power failure. It was the thing you made when you had these things and an hour and no plan, the specific kind of cooking that was not about a recipe but about understanding what the ingredients wanted, which was something her mother had taught her and her mother would have been personally affronted to call improvisation and which was i

The Bookstore Temptation

The Bookstore Temptation

The city sky had grown dark to a mellow gray, the kind that swathed everything in gentleness—buildings, trees, people. Rain still lingered in the air, shrouding the windows of **Chapter & Soul** in a soft mist. Inside, the world progressed more slowly, more softly. It was perfumed with old books, chamomile tea, and something sweet that Lena had baked and not labeled.

Sacrificed to the Storm: A Love Blown Away

Sacrificed to the Storm: A Love Blown Away

I instantly pushed the couch and table against it, hoping it would hold for a while. After all that, I felt so utterly drained. Without trying to fight it, I slid down against the table in exhaustion. Although I was extremely tired, memories from the past kept flashing through my mind. The news had been warning for a while now that these few days would see a hurricane. Just a few days ago, I found out I was pregnant with a home test. I hadn't even set aside the time to celebrate before the extreme weather arrived. I had stocked up on essentials from the supermarket. Yet, they were ultimately taken away for someone else.

Surrogate of the Sleeping Dragon

Surrogate of the Sleeping Dragon

"It's a potato stew, I made it based on one of my favorite meals in one of my favorite books. This is my own recipe that I just created after being inspired. It has potatoes, milk, scallions, garlic, parsley and more in it." "Everything in it sounds great," I murmured, filling a bowl and joining her at the kitchen bar, I sat down next to her. "Well, hello beautiful," I said, not being able to contain my happiness with being able to see Ember. "Hello there," she blushed but met my gaze. She seemed happy to see me too. "How was your day?" I asked taking note of the book on fire mages she had been reading.

ADDICTIVE LOVE

ADDICTIVE LOVE

She got to the recipe for his spaghetti bolognese and as she stroked the page, she smiled as she remembered how she and Damian went to his house and he tried to teach them how to cook and make pie. She looked at the book and decide that she was going to try his spaghetti recipe. She was home alone; she might as well find something to keep her occupied. She checked the cupboard and everything that she needed was there. She set to work and followed the cookbook as meticulously as she could. Everything was going well and it actually felt like Antonio was there with her and was guiding her. For some reason, she felt his warm comforting presence. She was slow and careful to follow the book, timin

The True Luna's Mark

The True Luna's Mark

I made a mental note to go to the store on another day to stock the fridge so I can start cooking for him if that is what he wanted. With Axel’s help, we carried everything up to our room. As I prepared the food, Axel stood behind me, wrapping his arms around me. His chin rested on my shoulder and I couldn’t help but think that I never imagined I would be standing like this. I thought this kind of thing only happened in romance novels. “You continue to surprise me, Stormie.” Axel whispered as he tightened his hold on me.

I am so in love with this book! The story is very well written and the characters are highly developed. What I have been enjoying the most about this story, is for everything that is happened Stormie, she still continues to survive, grow, be independent, finds her weaknesses and strengthens them.

The Snow Storm

The Snow Storm

Thank you so much for reading The Snow Storm! If you would like to find out more about what happens to Owen and the rest of the Williamson family then check out the sequel, Murder Motel. Here is a sneak peak of the book.. Chapter One September 17, 2007 “Am I speaking to a mister Owen Matthews?” “Um, yeah, that would be me.. Can I help you?” He does not recognize the female voice on the other end of the line but he has to admit, it is a beautiful voice. He would know how to spot a lovely voice, considering her heard random voices all day long.
