She snarls in anger, “Drop it, Coral!” and I flinched back, startled.
Noticing this, she softens her expression to a fake smile and rub her forehead with a tight look on her face. “I’m sorry for being snippy, but I’m really fine and do not need to be looked after by anyone.”
“If you're sure?” I ask cautiously, hands raised, and she nods.
Turning me around, she walks me to the door and presses her hands against my back. Shoving my body forward, she practically pushes me out the door. “Why don’t you run along now, I’m sure you have better things to do than worry about silly old me.”
