It looked like a forest of moving coral, miles long, pulsing with the same sickly violet light that had consumed the woman at the Citadel. ​"The Coral-Spine is moving," Elara gasped.

I heard Professor Coraline call after someone about an assignment while I pulled my book into my backpack. I wasn’t sure why, but my heart had been beating strangely for the duration of the entire class. The moment Professor Coraline called, ‘Mr Whitmore,’ and it turned out to be the boy with tattoos, piercings, and impossibly beautiful silvery grey eyes, it suddenly became much harder to breathe.

Coraline pleaded, doing a spell to look like Selina again. Scarlet laughed. "I'm not falling for that shit again." Coraline choked as the chains got tighter and tighter around her neck while the darkness was like a cloud around her. She felt great fear, like she had never felt before. "And this is for Horatio and our pack." Coraline rose high in the air, raising above the tallest tree. Scarlet closed her eyes as tears slid down Coraline's face. She pulled at the chain, causing Coraline's body to dissolve into nothing.

Rex smirked, his blue eyes roaming her ass, wiping his mouth with interest. “You never know, anyway he’s had a mate, he’s fair game for anyone now,” Diane pouted, adjusting her cleavage before strutting past Rex without a care. Coraline shrugged herself into a much plainer black mini dress, her long legs on show, wearing chunky black wedges. "She looks good now but watch her try to skip down the line in stilettos…it's going to be carnage," she said with venom on her tongue.

Once they all returned to Vito’s home after the funeral, Coraline excused herself in order to get some sleep. Due to the havoc the miscarriage was having on her body, she felt more drained than ever. After making sure she was okay in bed, Vito walks down the stairs to find Jayden in the kitchen pulling the tie from around his neck.
