Council's Academy Series Novels & Stories

We are keeping a low profile as Wade suggested, so that we can find out who exactly wants us dead. Willas Aranal makes the list of suspects easily. Every member of the Paragon Chamber is on it, including our Uncle. We trust no one. “The Academy consists of four Orders. The Founders. The Wardens. The Elders, and The Shapers. On naming day, you get named as one of these,” Willas explains as we tour the vast school, him and his son in the lead. Lukas clarifies, “Your names will best suit the power your crest holds.”

The academy was in chaos. Students scurried through the corridors, their voices hushed and frantic. The banners had been changed—the crimson and gold of the Academy replaced with deep violet and silver. The colors of the Ashford family. My stomach dropped. I grabbed a passing student by the arm. "What's happening?" The girl stared at me with wide, terrified eyes. "The Council is here. Elena Ashford arrived an hour ago. She's holding an emergency assembly in the main hall." My blood ran cold.

He hesitated for a moment and then reached for my hand. I let him take it so I could get a read on him. He reports to the council, what is the council? That is strange… I wasn’t aware The Academy had a council. “Look I'm not trying to be weird, I'm looking to move up, away from Hunting into something bigger. I just need to know who to talk to after I complete this checkmate. You know this will earn me any title I want basically.” I said.

she says. “Your Academy?” Katelynn asks her. “That’s right. MY Academy. The Council has given control of the Academy to me, and I will make sure that this school runs like a well-oiled machine. Anyone who can’t abide by the rules, is out,” she says sternly. Megan yanks her arm away from Cyra again and this time, Cyra lets her go. Megan turns, her posse following her. Alpha Nevaeh follows their progress until they have left the dining hall before turning back to me.

"Students of the Academy, our visit is early this year because the dynamics of the realm have shifted. The threats at our borders are changing." He stepped to the edge of the stage, his eyes sweeping the crowd. "The first council activity of this academy will begin tomorrow. A systematic sifting. We will identify and categorize every bloodline within these walls… from the strongest high Alphas, to the average, to the weak. No stone will be left unturned. Further information will be passed at dawn. Everyone is dismissed." The neatly filed rows and columns of students broke instantly, a chaotic sea of uniforms flooding toward the exit. I moved immediately, my hands shaking as I pushed through

The academy had a way of letting you breathe just long enough to forget where you were. It started with the summons. I was summoned. Unfortunately not by Aldric this time. But “The Council.” Their seal burned crimson against the parchment, formal and cold. Mandatory appearance. Evaluation chamber. Dawn. I barely slept. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Aldric’s face from the night before. Not stern. Not distant. Focused. Protective in a way that felt dangerous. The kind of protection that invited attention, resentment, retaliation. And then Seraphiel, although we had a really dark past together, recent memory of him were filled with the curve of his eyes, his care, warmth and flirtatious ad

My father will know about the council meeting and about how I publicly claimed a human before he comes for his visit for sure. I let my growl slip and they scatter instantly. Inside the building, the hallways are empty. No students loitering as usual, no staff walking about. Nobody wants to be anywhere near the council anytime they’re here. At the final hall, two men stand guard and from where I am I could feel the power radiating from them. I couldn’t tell what specie they are but I know they’re too strong, even stronger than anyone in this academy to be mere bodyguards

Marcus burst out laughing. Aurora slowly lowered her book. Leo blinked. Sol looked at Aella. And Chaos looked extremely pleased with himself. At that moment, the courtyard gate opened. Linus stepped inside. He looked slightly apologetic. “Sorry to interrupt.” Everyone turned toward him. “But the council is waiting at the academy.” His expression grew serious. “They want to discuss ending the war with the Eclipse.”

she continued, glancing at the papers in her hands, “was not an accident. It was orchestrated.” Caleb’s hands tightened at his sides and Adrian tight his fist as hell and me…..my jaw practically a steel trap, watching her. “Orchestrated? By who?” I barked. “By the Council,” she said, not missing a beat. “To test loyalty, flush out rogue elements. And to see… where certain allegiances truly lie.” “Ohhhhhh!” All students shouted . Audrey pressed herself closer to me, and I could feel her trying to ground herself. I wanted to tell her it would be okay.
