I went to my window and opened the drapes and window for the very first time this month. I turned my gaze towards the skies, that I could clearly see the lovely stars, and then I began to pull my gaze towards the house next to another. When I realized that the other house had been sold, I turned and looked at it. They're supposed to be our new residents, as Mom mentioned earlier, based also on unopened parcels and cartons. I spotted a couple at the window and thought they were lovely and happy. The huge windows with a cradle stand just across from my room, indicating that the family has a baby.

“Please help me. He’ll kill me!” My feet move of their own volition, my fingers itching to catch her. Save her from him. But before I can make that mistake, he catches her around her waist, laughing and kissing her neck. His lips move as he whispers something to her that makes her go limp in his arms. He doesn’t even bother to try shielding her naked body from me as he says, “It’s a kink of hers.” His blue eyes drift to the fence. “You…you live next door?”

He unlocked the door to his apartment and she walked out with him behind her. “Thanks a lot for the cash.” She mumbled as they neared the elevator. Tyler's eyes widened when she pulled him in for a quick embrace before letting him go. As she turned around, the elevator door opened, and out came Tyler's next-door neighbor dressed elegantly in a red pantsuit. Tyler stopped to gawk at her, seeing as she had stopped to cast disdainful looks at him and Jenna before she walked into the elevator. The elevator doors went shut and Tyler turned to catch his neighbor's attention before she walked into her elevator.

Just want to hear something to confirm if this is real or not. For a house this big, I expect to see at least one or two people moving around, maybe a cleaner, a driver, someone, but there’s nothing. Just silence and the faint sound of my footsteps as I walk toward the door. I reach it and hesitate for a second, then press the bell. Nothing happens immediately. Then I hear a soft click. The door unlocks on its own. I blink, looking around slightly…like is this some kind of remote door or something? “Okay…rich people,” I mutter under my breath before pushing the door open.

I glanced toward Cole. Uh-oh. His expression had gone suspiciously blank. The kind of blank that wasn’t actually blank. The kind of blank that meant somebody was annoyed. Interesting. “Hayes.” Cole’s voice cut through the conversation. Logan turned. “Ryder.” The way they looked at each other instantly answered one question. They definitely knew each other. Neither looked particularly thrilled about it. “The football house is next door.” Logan blinked. Then laughed. “Really?” Cole didn’t laugh.

As they peered through their windows, some of the neighbors bounced on their toes and craned their necks to catch a glimpse of the new residents. Excitement built as rumors spread among the neighbors. "It looks like someone has finally bought that house!" they whisper to each other. One of the neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Bansal, a couple in their mid-50s, can't contain their curiosity any longer and decide to go meet the new family. They walk through the gate and find the owner of the new house instructing the movers on where to place the furniture. Mr. Bansal greets the owner cheerfully, saying "Good morning".

While we are moving in from the back, we slip our way in and then out of the kitchen; we can safely say that all is clear on this side of the house. Next is the lounge. Oddly. Strangely. But most worryingly. It is clear. But, just as we are about to head up the stairs, the front door opens. Fuck…my body freezes, and my reality sets in…today, I am going to die. But, just as I am about to thank my maker, goddamn Harrison and Clark come through the door. I raise my eyebrows, somewhat confused at the fact that they have gained entry without any resistance from inside.

Getting out, I dried off and wore my blue jeans and white shirt and checked myself in the mirror one last time. Not bad. Then grabbed my small bag and stepped outside. Just as I started locking the door, loud yelling came from across the hall. Here we go again. Zoey's neighbors were something else. First, the manwhore upstairs who kept bringing different girls home to bang. Now it was some couple downstairs quarrelling, screaming like they were on a reality TV show. The door across from me swung open so hard it hit the wall and an older woman, probably in her late forties, stepped out looking pissed off.
