Course For Writing A Book Novels & Stories

"I'll teach the workshop." Over the next few weeks, I poured my heart into preparing for the creative writing workshop. I carefully crafted lesson plans, designed writing exercises, and curated a collection of inspiring stories to share with my future students. The anticipation built within me as I imagined the impact I could have on these budding writers, just like Professor Williams had on me.

DON'T WORRY THEIR STORIES AREN'T GOING TO BE LONG AS THIS. Well, besides writing whatever I wanted, I wanted to write an extremely long book (because these platforms claimed that longer books earn well, and since I have responsibilities to fulfill, I thought to give it a go:') but trust me, writing long books is really not my thing) so my book will be selected for further promotions and make me more $$$ so I could happily save and spend as I wanted it. Alas, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side:’) I learned this lesson while writing this book. Long or not… We're through.

But mostly, it was the only productive thing I could do that required so little effort. I imagined publishing books. I was into linguistics and literature. In fact, I finished an education degree majoring in English and was currently taking my master’s in English Language Teaching with plans to dive deeper into literature next semester. I loved creating stories out of thin air. Sometimes, my ideas came so suddenly I had to write them down immediately or they’d disappear in seconds. Lately, I’d been writing a lot, even if my drafts felt as “uncooked” as the rice I often undercooked. Uncooked writing—what a comparison.

Since the first day this book aired on this platform, a year ago, to now, i've evolved as a writer and the course of the book has changed quite a number of times over the months. I set out to entertain people with my writing, that has not changed, what has, however, is my style, the story telling, the story setting, the character developments and so on. I never intended for the book to be a hundred chapters long, believe me, so i realized it was dragging out, taking too long and i had to do something about it.

I walk down the corridor and enter the great lecture hall. Damn, see this takes me back. After I moved to America, I wanted to expand my business into Publishing. Firstly I wanted to make sure that I did so authentically. I attended the University of Pennsylvania to obtain not only a Bachelors’s degree but also a Master’s degree in Literature, and Creative writing. Business and Marketing. I wanted to do everything I could, to make sure my efforts were successful. I wanted to be sure that my business thrived and provided jobs to everyone that it could. That is part of why I am here today, to help guide these children into the field, to teach them, and help prepare them.

When I did, I realized it was too boring to just lie there so I got the book I’m currently reading from my bag. I have a lot of books at home. My hobbies are mainly book-related- reading a book, buying books, window shopping books, planning for a book, etc. Aside from family and academics, my life mostly revolves around books. I want to be a writer and be able to publish books in the future. That’s why I took up Creative Writing as my major. I started writing when I was still young so I think as I grow older, that’s how I learned to better my writing. Plus, life growing up will teach you a lot, and that’s where I draw most of my inspirations from.

It takes six weeks to write the first draft because the material has been accumulating for ten years, and the sentences were already there; they just needed to be put in order.
