MY FIRST LOVE

MY FIRST LOVE

“We’re going to lose everything, Ethan. The house, the shop… it’s all on the line.” Ethan clenched his fists, anger flaring up inside him. “We can’t let them take everything from us. We’ve fought too hard to give up now.” Lillian looked between her parents, her voice small. “What are we going to do? How do we stop this?” Claire took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. “We fight. We take this to court if we have to. We get the best lawyers we can find and we make our case. But it’s going to cost us.”

I AM BILLIONAIRE DAMON'S REPLACEMENT BRIDE

I AM BILLIONAIRE DAMON'S REPLACEMENT BRIDE

"It's working." "I know this is hard but we need to make a decision today. Either we accept their terms, we counter again and risk them filing charges, or we tell them we're going to court and prepare for trial." I sat down on the edge of the bed. "What do you recommend?" "Honestly? I think we should fight. Something about this feels off. They're pushing too hard, too fast. People with strong cases don't usually behave this way." "So you think they're worried about something?"

The Billionaire's Baby Bargain

The Billionaire's Baby Bargain

The grass is unkempt and there’s a run down playground outside. How could the government believe that this place is a better home than with me and Arthur? Maybe a jury will see it this way too, if we even have to go to court. Arthur loops his fingers with mine and leads the way. “Ready to get our daughter?” He asks into my ear and I nod. Our lawyer, Reese, is following behind us. I realize we all stick out in our expensive clothing against this in-much need of repair building. Then again, that’s a good thing isn’t? Don’t courts usually rule in favor of the one who has the most money?

I really liked the story but HATE the ending, too much left hanging. I don’t think this was a good ending to the book even if there is a sequel. So now I’ll wait for hopefully a next one so there’s closure to so many unresolved issues.
Tara Cruse
is this book finished? I am getting near the end and where I'm at, there is a lot to wrap up in just a few chapters. I think this is a great story line, it has me anxious to find out how it will all out

Her Dangerous Desires

Her Dangerous Desires

Greg fired back. The air felt thick, as if the room itself was holding its breath. “It seems we’re at a dead end. If we can’t reach an agreement today, this will proceed to trial.” The mediator sighed, clearly realizing that her efforts were futile. “That seems inevitable. My client is prepared to fight this in court.” Marcus nodded, gathering his papers. “You are always underestimating me, John. I’ll see you in court.” Greg said as he stood, straightening his suit jacket and stared down his younger brother. “

PREGNANT WITH THE ALPHA'S UNWANTED HEIR

PREGNANT WITH THE ALPHA'S UNWANTED HEIR

But you haven't told them why you specifically know it's wrong. Because I am the person it would be applied to, I say. You said that, he says. But you said it like a fact. Not like something that has a cost. He holds my gaze. What does it cost you? I look at the paragraph. I rewrite it. He reads the new version. "Yes," he says. Simply. That is all. On the third day the tribunal panel decision comes in. Postponement denied. Holt calls with the news at ten in the morning, and her voice has the restrained satisfaction of a lawyer who argued correctly and has been proven right.

Married To The Cruel Billionaire

“And if they can’t?” “Then you win those cases.” “And if they settle?” I asked. “Then you still win. Quietly.” I swallowed. “How long?” “Months. Maybe longer.” “And the cost?” Adrien asked. Mara didn’t hesitate. “A lot.” I laughed softly. “Of course it is.” “Money. Time. Stress. And exposure,” she said. “Court means everything becomes public record. Messages. Timelines. Your private life.” I stiffened. “Everything?”

The Prison Bride

The Prison Bride

"I've been collecting evidence these days. We've got quite a lot now. I'm confident we can bring this case to trial soon." "What are the odds of winning?" Jack asked. "High. The Judd family is just trying to muddy things with public opinion. If that's the game they want to play, we'll do the same in court." "The court isn't a place for games. Don't push it too far." He picked up the menu and started going through it. Anne chuckled. "It's not like we're at the Supreme Court. Besides, Mr. Canberra used the same approach, didn't he?"

Take My Husband, Let Me Marry Yours

Take My Husband, Let Me Marry Yours

"We need to think ahead, not just react. The press, the judges—everything is about perception. If we can control that, maybe we stand a chance." David nodded slowly, his mind working in overdrive. "And the money?" he asked, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper as he leaned closer to Sandra, eyes scanning the room as if waiting for someone to overhear them. "We can’t afford to leave it all up to chance. The assets, the properties, the companies—all of it needs to be moved, hidden. If the court doesn’t rule in our favor, everything we've built is gone."

One Nightstand With My Ex's Uncle

She asked, and with a sigh, I began to narrate it all to her. “Oh my. Going to court is going to be quite risky. What if you lose the case, and you’re to stay away from Lucas? What if John reveals the video before you even have chances of winning? And is the trial going to be public?” “I’m going to ask Lucas if it will be public, but the best thing will be a private one. Hiring a private judge.” I said, biting my thumb.

Resent, Reject, Regret

"No need. I can give you an answer now. I won't give her the $30,000. Let's go to court and send me to prison if you're willing." The lawyer couldn't believe it. He turned around and saw the determination on Deirdre's face, furrowing his brows instantly. "Ms. McKinnon, I hope you don't come to such impulsive conclusions. Do you know what kind of outcome you'll face once the judgment is passed?"

This whole story is the worst one I've ever read & I've read alot. I stopped reading it for the most part & to think that Charlene is supposed to be back with a new face to start this garbage all over again for the 3rd time. De is the most pathetic female character & Bren is the worst male character

Today's 100 chapter dump was peak! My continuous facepalm during 716 was so hard, if it continues like this, I'll end up looking like the disfigured Deirdre by the end of this novel lol Brendan needs to come clean and work with Deirdre, that's the only way they can defend Charlene. God, I hate her
