Misteri yang terdapat di balik ritual yang dilakukan setiap tujuh tahun sekali oleh orang-orang desa di tempat tinggalnya, memancing seorang anak laki-laki bernama Aaron untuk menyelidiki misteri itu. Setelah sahabat dekatnya yang bernama Elena diculik oleh sang makhluk kegelapan, Aaron pun bertekad akan membawa gadis itu kembali, serta mencari tahu penyebab dari hilangnya ingatan semua orang terhadap si gadis bersurai emas. Ketika tahun demi tahun telah berlalu, Aaron yang telah menjadi seorang pemuda tangguh harus kembali ke desa kelahirannya. Dia dan ketiga orang sahabatnya pun terjebak dalam ritual pemujaan yang membuat keempatnya menghilang, masuk ke sebuah pintu menuju dunia yang asing, segalanya mendadak berubah. Aaron dan ketiga orang temannya harus menjalani kehidupan yang berat di dunia yang dipenuhi monster dan makhluk mitologi yang sering diceritakan oleh neneknya di masa lalu. Keempatnya kemudian bergabung ke sebuah organisasi pemburu monster bernama Dark Storm, demi melanjutkan misi pencarian terhadap Elena. Akankah semua yang Aaron rencanakan berjalan lancar sesuai dengan rencananya ataukah ... dia gagal memperoleh Elena kembali? Mampukah mereka melarikan diri dari pengaruh sihir yang lambat laun akan membunuh mereka semua?

Murder Inquiry is a crime fiction, whose plot is about Edwin Wolfgang, a rich New York based banker, who gives out loans for which he accepts artworks as collateral, but kills his customers before they are able to pay back the loan. And a FBI agent attached to the New York field office, who's charged with the task of bringing Mr Wolfgang to book. The story is set in three cities, in three different continents, and is full of twists and turns from the killing of Wolfgang's last two victims, up to his eventual arrest.

The Williamson family sets out on a road trip to reach their family for the holidays. Along the ride they run into bad weather, multiple accidents and unnerving strangers. When a near accident forces them off the road, they meet a man who befriends the father. He tells him of this motel not too far up the street, in case they need a place to wait out the approaching snow storm. When the family is forced to find a place to stay, that motel seems to be their only option. Everything seems normal at first, but the longer the stay the more sinister things become until the family is forced to fight for their lives.. will they make it through the holidays? Will the survive this snow storm?
