Some even laughed when the thing leapt to their shoulders or danced on their heads before jumping back to its master. Meanwhile, the crowd pressed closer, carrying Kathy with them. She flinched when the creature landed on the purse of the woman next to her. While it climbed up the strap, the grin found Kathy again, as did its eyes. The pupils held black slits in twin pools of piss, but they widened to circles when she finally found the voice to scream.

Putting on gloves, she looked at me and snapped them like you see in the movies. “Really?” “Yes ma’am.” All I could do was stare at the stained ceiling tiles. Penny started at my feet. The cream was cold on my skin, making me twitch every time she put some on. “You do look better.” “My wolf is asleep and probably will for another day or two.”

Joe goes up the 2nd floor with Jin but eventually is left alone when Jin climbs to the 3rd floor. Now alone, Penti frowns.
