Hearing that, my departed soul turned away, smiling miserably. The silvery-blue flower continued to grow before our eyes, unfurling delicate petals that seemed to capture and reflect the light in an almost impossible way. As it reached full bloom, a subtle fragrance filled the room, clean and pure, like the first breath of air after a cleansing rain.

She snuck across the chilly floor and cursed the loud sound of her bare feet peeling off the polished concrete. The door was solid steel with the family crest carved into it, and she anchored her attention on it. Minnow had been taught the history behind the family fleur-de-lis since she was a child. Her fingers trailed over the familiar design. The shape of the crest was a full moon with the outline of a waxing crescent. She was told the moon was said to have the same sovereignty by night that the sun had by day. The waxing crescent reflected the new moon, showing the family were always ready to go forth with new light and added energy.

Crescent replied, "But that didn't mean that I don't love Jericho. He's like a brother to me, you know. So you better take care of him." "I---" Rose opened her mouth, but was not really sure what to say. She never had to take care of anyone before. She wasn't even sure if she knew how. But she wasn't about to argue with Crescent, not when the girl thought that Rose cared about her friend, "I will take care of him." Crescent nodded, "Good. Because I will kick your ass if you don't. I don't care if you're infinitely stronger than me. I still will definitely kick your ass. So you better suffocate him with your love."
