Vera's POV “If you were to choose between moonflowers and lilies, which would you pick?” Cathryn asked, her gaze drifted towards the colorful flowerbeds, as she contemplated which to pick for the upcoming Moon Festival. I was helping out with the preparations because I wanted to stay useful—partly to avoid hiding in the library all the time. “Lilies are preferable—the Easter ones specifically” I replied, “From my previous study on flowers. Lilies symbolize new beginnings and purity.” I said before adding softly, “Alpha Andrews is going to start fresh once he's cured from the cure.”

While our herb collection was impressive by most pack standards, the Alpha’s garden married both form and function. The centerpiece was a large water installation, a fountain surrounded by nodding, bell-shaped flowers in brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red. I stepped closer, unable to resist the pull of their vibrant beauty. “Lilium canadense,” I murmured. “Canada lily.” I picked a sprig of the blooms, holding them in my hand. Feeling a surge of confidence, I turned back to Draven. “These are symbols of strength, commitment, and new beginnings,” I said, carefully tucking the stem inside Draven’s vest pocket.

“We are so much more than that.” Cassandra stepped forward and gently tilted Lily’s chin up, forcing her to meet those hypnotic crimson eyes. “We are the Crimson Sisterhood. Ancient. Eternal. We have walked this earth for centuries, feeding on desire and blood. We are lesbian vampires, my sweet pledge. And we choose only the most delicious, innocent girls to join us.” Lily’s heart hammered. She should have been terrified. She should have run. Instead, a strange heat bloomed low in her belly. Her senses came back. When she looked around, she saw mountain of pitiable corpses. Most of these corpse's body was dismembered, cut spotlessly while some have horrifying hole in their head. She noticed too that in every corpse there's a red spiderlily flower on it. A beautiful and alluring flower that bloom from the blood of their wound. The ground she stands is full of nasty blood as if it was a pool of a crimson sea. Although the air is filled with its foul smell and very suffocating, she can breathe normally like there's really nothing. She unfortunately woke up in another nightmare.

On the next day, the two of them set for the valley of emerald lilies. The sight was extremely beautiful. The red lilies were spread throughout the place, and they had green emerald gems dotting their petals. A shiny red gem sat at the center. A exotic yet refreshing scent wafted off of them, pleasing Seraphine to a great extent. Captivated by the beauty the scene had to provide her with, Seraphine found it to be a pity that s photograph can not be taken.

We were lucky that Thalia had kept a single one of that flower…” Romaine responded sorrowfully. “That flower that we just drank is not just an ordinary lily of the valley.
