I Married a Mafia King!

I Married a Mafia King!

Not anymore. She wasn’t alone. A man sat waiting in front of the desk, a folder open in his lap. His hair was peppered with gray, his posture sharp and professional. When he looked up, his eyes held the kind of calm Rhian had only seen in people who made a living out of watching and listening. “Miss Villareal,” he greeted with a slight bow of his head. “I’m Santiago Cruz, private investigator. Your father hired me shortly before his… passing.”

My eyes widened, and I nodded vigorously in response. Mariano Wolfe Lionelli Montefiore Rivera was an infuriating man.

so far, chapter 34, I'm really loving this book. I love the characters. I absolutely adore the cover of this book that's up right now, it is exactly what I imagine Mariano looks like. I cannot wait to get more chapters and hippie Redd what's there at least twice now.

This was an amazing story! I wish there would’ve been a little more at the end, but otherwise I absolutely recommend reading this. Another great story to add to my favorites on here. I liked how it was a little different from most of the other mafia romance stories on here. Fantastic job author!

The Grace of a Thousand Stars

The Grace of a Thousand Stars

Relieved, Ezra nodded his head as he followed me out of the studio, but as I stopped by the entrance where a man in a black suit was waiting for me, Ezra continued on his way to the car. He looked similar to the man that was chasing Ines last night, but this man was taller with more muscles, and looked like he'd never smiled. Not that I was one to talk, but it was odd to see a man with a similar physique and facade than me. "Mr Alaric Ramirez." He stated in a gruff voice. "That's me." I replied, crossing my arms and looking straight at him as if to say that he was nowhere near close enough to be able to intimidate me.

Ramirez after all. Pulling back slightly from the hug, but keeping an arm around Josh's shoulder, Mr. Ramirez turned toward the stunned crowd. He then addressed them, "Everyone, I would like to introduce you all to someone," he announced, his voice filled with authority and pride. He then turned towards his grandson, looking at Josh with a smile as he continued, "This is my grandson, Josh."

In remorse there is, but I don’t want to go in there. When we reached the front of Mr. Sarmiento's office, we decided to knock. It opened immediately and spat out a woman. It is Ms. Ramirez, one of the university’s young professors. "Yes? Do you need anything?" she asked with her hands on her waist. "Is Mr. Sarmiento inside, Ms. Ramirez?" Rita asked with a smile. The woman raised an eyebrow at us and scanned us with her eyes from head to toe. Then, she shook her head and flashed us a look with a hint of disgust. I couldn't help but notice how rude it is.

she asked softly. He exhaled bitterly. “Delgado happened.” That didn’t surprise her, but the look in his eyes did. Fear. Not the hard-edged fury he usually wore. This was something else entirely. Ramirez sank onto the fallen log, rubbing his face with both hands. “I have spent years chasing criminals. I have seen bodies burned to nothing and families torn apart. I have seen the kind of evil men learn to hide behind suits and badges.” His hands dropped, revealing eyes older than she had ever seen.

I rubbed the dust from my eyes, and slowly got back up. Amidst the tornado of dust particles and tiny concrete pieces, Señor Ramirez emerged, holding what looked like a handheld rocket launcher. “You guys are still alive and I don’t know how you’ve managed that,” he said. Zak and Rachel sprinted to hug him, but Señor Ramirez held his hands up. “No time for that!” I stared at him, still in shock. “I can’t believe you’re here. How did you get here?”

"Not so good for business. Can we just start over again?" He laughed, a full-throated sound. "Absolutely. Señorita Prescott, I am Miguel Cruz Castillo, Please call me Cruz." "And I'm Shea Prescott." "Shea." He rolled the name around on his tongue. "Very nice. I like the sound of it. And I am looking forward to hosting you at my ranch this weekend so we can discuss an enormous project for which I need an excellent architect." "Well, then. I think you've came to the right person."
