What a combination.
“Li, we’re seriously late. Come on!” Mason calls from the hallway.
I turn on my heel, Jace following close behind. Outside, three sleek cars sit in the driveway.
Mason eyes my new Mercedes with longing. “Did he seriously get you another car?”
“Stop drooling, brother,” I tease, walking past him.
As I reach for the door handle, another car pulls up.
My grip falters.
A familiar Audi.
Ramon steps out, dressed sharply, sunglasses half concealing his eyes. His gaze finds mine first before flickering to Mason. Then, his attention shifts to Jace, and his expression hardens. Jace takes an automatic step towards me, his entire posture tense.
