But......” Danielle paused and tears fell down from her eyes. She remembered her parents and grandmother again. Her heart felt pain and sorrow just by remembering them. It's her weakness. ‘Perhaps I should just leave him and live out the rest of my life alone. Her voice cracked slightly, as though her resolve was crumbling. As tears brimmed in her eyes, she fought the urge to cry out, ‘I’ve lost everything! Why should he care? What does he see in me? A sudden, sharp pain erupted in her chest, as if a dagger had pierced it. She gasped sharply as she doubled over in agony, clutching her injured heart. It felt as though someone had stabbed her repeatedly, rendering her unable to breathe or move. Pain shot through her entire torso, threatening to rip her apart. The sensation took her breath away as fear gripped her heart with paralyzing ferocity.

I gritted my teeth to distract me from the tears and blinked a few times rapidly to try to churn them away. My crying got heavier to where my chest started heaving. I got mad at myself for crying. It made me feel dramatic. Out of control. Tears fell onto the paper and blurred the ink. Fuck. I tried to blow on the wet spot to dry it, but more tears dripped from my eyes and fell onto the page and made it worse.

She stared into his brown eyes. Unrequited love is the worst. It never quenches your thirst. When you love someone the most, but they treat you like a ghost. You don't exist to them, even if they're your gem. It hurts your heart and tears you apart. Your soul gives a desperate plea, for them to just see, that you're right in front of their eyes. Only once it's too late, they realize. It's like a stab to the chest, leaving you in a state of unrest.

Tears of misery welled up in her eyes, and her chest squeezed as her legs trembled and she fell down on her knees. “Grace!” She heard him panicking as the last thread of her emotions broke and she let her vulnerability take over her soul. “Oh my god! What happened?” Her cries become louder as she felt him grabbing her arms as she flinched and raised her head. His body tensed and the tears in her eyes flowed continuously. With trebling hands and wobbly lips she scrunched her nose and heart wrenching sobs escaped her mouth. “H-He….he t-tried….” Her voice broke as she placed her hand over her mouth and her eyes closed shut as she shook her head, couldn’t make herself to say the words.

The vulnerability in his voice, the longing in his lyrics, resonated with the turmoil within me. I couldn't bear it anymore. I stood up abruptly, my movement drawing the attention of those around me. Now, I could see him clearly, his gaze fixed on me, his eyes a warm, inviting blue. But there was a flicker of something else in their depths, a hint of sadness, of regret, that intensified the ache in my heart. Tears welled up, hot and stinging, and I turned away, unable to face the intensity of his gaze. Rexon, sensing my distress, stopped singing, the music abruptly cut short. I didn't hesitate. I turned and walked away, my heart pounding in my chest, my mind a jumbled mess of emotions.

Tears stung my eyes, and before I could stop myself, I started to cry. “Get it together, Sienna,” I whispered, wiping my face with the sleeve of my hoodie. “You’re stronger than this.” I took a deep breath and stood up, brushing the grass off my jeans. It wasn’t much, but the fresh air and quiet had helped clear my head.

Fuck that, and fuck her. They would all pay for what’s been done to me. All I did was love, and this is how they repay me. I glanced down and noticed the back of the pack whore I was fucking. I had almost forgotten she was here, but whenever I called for them, it was always the same: shut your mouth, do not touch me, and keep your hideous face down. If they weren’t Taylor, at least I could pretend they were. Seeing and hearing them ruined the fantasy. They were only good for a temporary release, nothing more. I didn’t love them, or anyone for that matter. I had given my heart away, and it had been destroyed.

And she collapsed. No sound at first. Only tears. No sobbing, no gasping— just silent weeping, the kind that happens when there's no strength left to cry, and the tears fall because nothing's holding them back anymore. Then the sound came. Hoarse. Fractured. Rising from deep within her, as if weeks of pain, fear, humiliation, and helplessness were finally clawing their way out all at once. Lennox didn't speak.
