I have now come to the end of book one of my Cursed by the gods series. It has been a long journey I'm not gonna lie. I lost commitment along the way of writing this book, lost inspiration, even changed the plan I initially had for it. I am really glad that I got to finish it and if you stayed till the end I just want to say thank you for even choosing this book in the first place. I will start with the second book as soon as possible and do my best to make that one better. I hope I have been able to tell you a good story dear readers and once again I thank you for reading Cursed by the gods. Thank you.

Lucas had been gone for hours, leaving me to the not so careful ministrations of Magda. The wart nosed witch who I had clobbered over the head with a candlestick. She was hunched forwards with a permanent hunchback and cloudy milky white eyes signalling that her eyesight was diminished with cataracts. She almost looked like she had taken a step out of a Greek mythology book and was actually one of the fabled grey sisters, who determined all living creatures fate. Perhaps she was, all myths derived from elements of truth. Any second now she was going to pull out a pair of rusty old scissors and cut my life cord into two. I held back a giggle at the thought.

The next day, Caitlin and Kathryn went back to Creeksville on their mother’s order to find the girl’s family and see what the people are up to and while Kathryn won’t stop talking, Caitlin’s mind drifted back to the two priests she saw yesterday and what she overheard. The priest, Aiden, had referred to them as demons taking the form of humans and he had said they will be responsible for the end of the world. It was not as if it has never crossed her mind about the dangers lurking because of the other Covens, especially the Lifeblood Coven that is ruled by Aamon. Finally, she found the one she was looking for. Layla managed to grab the book and add it to her stack in her arms when her eyes caught sight of something. A book stood out among the rest. It was bound with dark brown leather and had brandished designs on the spine. The title read - Malleus Vampiro: A Treatise on Vampires. Placing her other books on the floor, Layla pulled the leather-bound book from its home amongst the others and opened it. As her eyes skimmed the pages, she caught a couple of words; SHADOW STALKERS, BLOODSUCKER, PHANTOMS.

Kael pulled the heavy books free and placed them across a nearby table. The candles lit themselves automatically. He began reading. --- Hours passed silently. Only the sound of turning pages filled the room. Kael’s expression darkened more with every text. Some spoke of spirits entering weak bodies. Others described possession through mirrors, cursed artifacts, blood rituals.

Theresa was old enough to have experience, but looked young enough to please Salem’s eyes—two key requirements for a housekeeper in his home. “Where is Salem now?” I asked. A good feeding would soothe my nerves. “He’s not at home, my lady. I couldn’t tell you.” Grumbling, I headed to Salem’s library. Perhaps he had a book I could entertain myself with. Once there, I found a book lying open on a desk. It was titled Mythic Bloodlines: Lost & Fabled Lilitu. Curious, I studied an illustration on the open page. It depicted a trio of strange-looking women, just like the ones Salem had been painting all this time. The accompanying text stated:

Things that looked like drawings but weren’t. I frowned. “What is this…?” I flipped a page.

“War has been fought by many powers in the other world but all in all it’s the Heaven realm against the middle and lower realm. The one who started this great war is one of my kind… the great old one… Cthulhu…” The name made Zhu Wushang remember that this name should be the name he found in the book “Necronomicon” in the Black Merchant library. He didn’t know the objective of this war but the only thing he knows is that it was not good if this name were to be involved in any war. He needs to clear all of the loose ends and complications in this world and return to his world fast. Before that Cthulhu guy made any bold move.

I took care to read each statement a few times, while using the stylus that came with the tablet to take notes in the notes application I had installed, several doubts came up reading the report, but I didn't say any of them out loud, I'm sure that it had to do with Hyperion saying he needed to show me something. I finished reading all the new information and then I put the tablet away from the hospital and took my cell phone, opening it in the book reading app, I started reading "Cthulhu Pulp", a roleplaying book with supplementary rules for the Call of Cthulhu and also examples of scenarios, it wasn't a small book and I was just beginning, it was a good way to pass the time, after all I ne
