The name “Carla” hung in the room like a summoned ghost, a tangible thread linking the present torment to the sins of the past. Eloise and Elena exchanged a glance heavy with shared dread—the curse was stirring again, drawing closer, its tendrils reaching for what little they had left.

Another attacker came at my side, but I swung around and slashed across their throat, blood splattering the ground. We fought with everything. But they were prepared. Too prepared. He was cursed by a nasty witch after he ordered her execution for murdering innocent kids in name of sacrificial rituals. Due to it, he underwent a lot of trouble.” Caitlyn had a distant look in her eyes, staring past my shoulders towards the forest behind me.
