Curiously, I watched her search for a book and I waited patiently for her to find it and show it to me. Giving me a corny look, she dropped the dusty book on my lap with a loud thud. "What is this?" I asked in amusement, running my fingers on the letters engraved on the book cover. It clearly stated that the book was for toddlers. "There is a spell in there that will quicken your learning and you will become with whatever Latin speaker you wish to be before midnight," she responded, walking towards the door.

I tossed the pages and started reading. 'Blood spilled all over the ground. Bodies lay lifeless. Houses burnt. Children crying.

Water dripped from my robes as I staggered to my chambers and threw on my usual black clothing. My body screamed in agony, but I didn’t stop. I made my way to the ancient library, my breath labored, my steps unsteady. My fingers scanned the spines of old, leather-bound books until I found it…the book of curses, bound with a strange red thread.

I have now come to the end of book one of my Cursed by the gods series. It has been a long journey I'm not gonna lie. I lost commitment along the way of writing this book, lost inspiration, even changed the plan I initially had for it. I am really glad that I got to finish it and if you stayed till the end I just want to say thank you for even choosing this book in the first place. I will start with the second book as soon as possible and do my best to make that one better.
