Fugishigoro’s hands remained on Kyomi’s hips, fingers digging into the soft flesh beneath her tiny shorts as she straddled him. I spat, refusing to back down. He laughed. "A freak? Perhaps. But I am a freak with the power to destroy everything you have ever known. Look over there, in the corner." He nodded toward the darkest side of the room, near the curtains. I turned my head following his line of sight and immediately I placed my hands over my mouth trying to muffle my screams. At the end of the room were three statues, judging by the impossible detail I knew they weren't just made of stone, these were actual women.

Children peeked out from behind their mothers, their small faces dirty but bright with wonder. For a heartbeat, Alaric stood still among them, the hero they thought he was. But the warmth pressing toward him made his curse twitch beneath his skin. It came alive, a dark pulse under his veins hungry, eager. He stepped back sharply. “Stay back.” His Beta, Edric Thorne, raised his hand at once. “No one touches the Alpha!” as he struggled to push them back stopping them from touching the Alpha, he knew what could happen and how quickly victory could turn to sorrow.

Opening it revealed not pages of text, but hidden compartments, each holding documents far older than Cassian. Lucien drew out a single folded parchment. The ink had faded, but the memory it carried had not. On it was an old picture, a young girl with black hair, soulless eyes. Cassian looked almost identical to her. They were trading jokes about the Headmaster’s missing glass eye when he dropped the hammer: "Send me a likeness." Emily nearly dropped the tablet into the wash-basin. A likeness? A photo? What kind of photo? She knew what high-tier Alphas wanted from Omegas. Was he asking for... that? Was he turning into every other predator in the Territories? "A photo?" She typed and deleted a dozen frantic responses before settling on the most defensive one possible.

Then the doctor ran in as we stepped back and Xavier growled as he was male, unmated and unmarked as far as we could tell. "I came as quickly as I could, alpha, what's going on?" he asks, looking at the unconscious girl in front of me. A gasp of fear and shock escapes him and he backs away. "You have to kick her out!! I cannot treat her! She's the Cursed Rogue!! She matches the description perfectly! Alpha, she cannot-" I snapped. "SILENCE!" Xavier roared. It was rare for our wolves to actually speak on their own like that without their human counterpart, but in this instance, I was right along with him. The doctor instantly closed his mouth and bowed his head in submission.

She screamed, making list of the people flinch and younger children cry in fright. "But you know what, I will leave and you will never see me again. Of course I won't leave without a gift for your unborn child, whether male or female, the child shall not experience the feeling of full wolf transformation. You can try to break the curse but you will fail and you will also beg to find me and you will also fail. This is my parting gift to you," she smiled deviously and just within a blink of an eye, Rebecca was gone. ~JASON~

I stop abruptly and the man stops with me, his hand grabbing my arm and pulling me close. "Did not think someone like you would be this shy-" he traces my face with the back of his fingers and I slap his hand away from my face, shaking lightly. "Someone like me?!" I hiss between my teeth and it seems that my rage only fuels something within the man as he smirks at me, showing off his disgustingly yellow teeth. Up close, Father Cassimir is even more disgusting. Maybe if he took better care of himself... no! It was a matter of the heart! his heart was tainted and no amount of water and soap would wash that away!
