What kind of bad luck was I cursed with? His aura suddenly turned hostile, and I lost all hope of escaping this unscathed. Keeping my eyes on him, I slowly bent to the floor, retrieving the two fighting knives always attached to my boot. A sinister smile covered his face. “Wrong choice,” he mumbled. Next thing, he crouched to the floor as well, clothes ripping and bones shifting as he transformed into a big brown wolf. Bad. Bad. Bad. This was terrible and I would die today. The wolf paced for a moment, baring sharp fangs at me. I had combat experience but it was nothing that could help me fight a fully transformed wolf.

By the time they broke through the tree line, the town was burning in full. Fire ran through the streets. People scattered in every direction mothers dragging children, men wielding broken tools as weapons. And in the chaos moved the rogues, wild and twisted wolves whose minds had long since rotted. Alaric was off his horse before it stopped. His boots struck the ground hard. The curse in his blood stirred, coiling deep beneath his skin. His claws slid out, dark and sharp as obsidian. The air around him shifted, thickening with power. He didn’t wait quickly He moved cutting down as many as he could quickly and swiftly.

Her breathing laboured as she attempted to remain unnoticed. Felicity broke the stillness. "It sounds like it's coming from outside. We should go. Chris is upstairs waiting for us." After they left, Waverly sunk to the floor, absorbing the information she had overheard. The Crimson Wolf was under a curse? What could he have done that was so terrible that he paid the price this way? More questions clouded her mind the longer she was in this room and no one would provide her with a straight response. It is the energy. This text explains everything.” “No…” Elder Lucas shakes his head, swallowing hard. “It’s undefeatable. A rotting curse. It will destroy the bearer and their entire bloodline.” “And it can only live in the body of a powerful wolf,” Lucy continues, eyes still locked on the page. “Even the one who placed the curse can’t break it. Only the white wolf has the power to destroy it.”

Alpha Wade was stunned by the wolf's words. He had never heard of a curse placed on the moon, and he had no idea how to break it. He stared at the creature, his mind racing. "Who are you?" he asked. "And why have you come to me?"
