Blood and gore flooded out as I went into full panic mode. Scooting backwards on my bottom I was a gibbering wreck. The mangled corpse of the leather-faced Paulie now had a horrendously meaty smell mixing in with the sweat and whisky as blood oozed out of his broken neck. The amount of blood sent me spiralling back to that night when I took a knife to Luna Grace's bedroom.

"It's not bleeding that bad, you're going to be okay." Maybe physically. I looked around for the first time and saw blood spatter against the walls and furniture. Entrails and scraps of flesh were scattered around the living suite, accompanied by other evidences of dismemberment. Jai was cornering something beside the bed. His hands were stretched out by his sides as he crouched low. After what I had been through, I would have thought nothing would have surprised me. I was shocked, however, to see the mounds of black fur that peaked over Jai's shoulder.

The zombie horde outside surged all at once, forcing the door wide open. A small, skinny zombie squeezed halfway through the gap. Hayley drew her saber and slashed. A gleam of steel flickered once, and every zombie pushing through that gap was cut clean in half. Boom! She kicked the cabinet hard, slamming the door closed again. But the zombie with its head through the broken window was now clawing its way in at full speed. The sharp edges of the broken glass scraped down its skull, neck, and chest, peeling away chunks of flesh as it forced its way forward. Thick, dark red pus dripped down the wooden frame like ink.

Cosmo grabbed it softly in both hands as his newest Creation came to life but slammed it into the concrete each time she struggled, until she was still. Blood was everywhere. It pooled on the floor and snaked along the girl’s body. Her exposed brain was battered to slush so it oozed out with the oddly coloured fluid surrounding it. Her skull was cracked open for all to see while Cosmo stood triumphantly over it. He flicked the gore from his hands and stepped on the body as he walked towards the table. “Who’s next?” he called out to the others “don’t want to fight the blind one now?”

Everyone shouted and they were running in every direction they could to burst the way out, to be far away from this deadly creature their eyes couldn't behold Nagato stepped forward, closer to where Kaito was, the ground trembled at each step he took, and the black dark fog swirling around his body was now covering his palm that has long claws " you all are dying tonight" he voiced out and then pierced his hands right through Yukimura's chest…

☆☆☆ Inside It was foggy within but they could still see what lies buried within the cemetery, they walked stealthily like ghosts trying effectively not to attract unwanted attentions. The Zompires are dead creatures considered to be undead, their existence is a curse and an abomination of the hidden world itself. They are ludicrous and predictable unlike other creatures on the planet, they're visibly blind but attracted to noises and lights. They could transform others at will with just a bite but that differs between species. It hasn't been really tested on a dhampir but Rapidfire was not ready to try that out yet.

“Mom, I . . . ” The effect only lasted until the camera panned back far enough to show off the seeping neck wound the special effects department must have worked so hard on. The blood cleansed Emma’s vision, but her sense of fun had already been washed away. The gore had somehow gone from over-the-top amusement to insulting, and no amount of junk food could get rid of the bad taste coating her tongue. Man, they really got the color wrong . . .

Later in the night the new sword from Grant sparkles from its enchantments as I swing the glowing blade toward the large rat at the face of the cave. The sound of clashing metal sings through the television speakers as I step over the dead rat carcass to claim the few pieces of gold he left behind post death. "Did Finn need to be so graphic when he designed Dragons Reborn?" I ask guiding my character farther into the cave. "Yes. We're guys. We like the realism of dead things."

He leans in close, his teeth razor sharp. A vampire? I reach out, an inexplicable urge filling me to touch a part of the tapestry. Right before my fingers touch the fabric, though, Madame Aldine loudly clears her throat. I drop my hand at my side, guilt shooting through me, and join her at the end of the hall. One of the lights is burnt out, causing shadows to pool around the door Madame Aldine stands in front of. Apparently I have the good luck of getting the creepiest room in the place.
