Cute Wings Of Fire Moonwatcher の小説・ストーリー

The thing kept up until it was easy to tell that it was a person. Wings spread from its back stretching out wide. With one movement it used them to blow the flames towards the warriors that were standing too close. Flames engulfed them in minutes and then they were gone. With another great batting the wings stopped the flames altogether and the thing was all that remained. Elaina watched in horror as it began to move forward taking in the scene around it. A laugh rumbled from it making the hairs on the back of Elaina’s neck stand up.

"That's why we balance each other." More wolves pour into the clearing. These ones don't hesitate. They charge straight at us, weapons drawn. Jolie raises both hands. Moonfire erupts from her palms, forming a wall of silver flames between us and the attackers. "Stay back!" Her voice echoes with divine authority. "Turn around and live. Continue forward and burn." Two wolves try to push through the flames. Their screams are cut short as the moonfire consumes them, leaving nothing but ash. The others skid to a stop, suddenly reconsidering their life choices.

He was just standing in the sunlight, and Ravi squinted as he saw something gleaming in the man's hand. Ravi focused his vision further to ensure that the object the man held wasn't what he thought it was. The man's hand moved, still gazing, and Ravi's eyes widened when he could see clearly. Ravi froze, subconsciously gripping Raymond's wrist tightly. He saw a shimmering sword smeared with red liquid that was undoubtedly blood. But it didn't end there. Ravi froze further without realizing it, tightening his hold on Raymond's wrist as he observed the man's wings, which were white and almost identical to Raymond's. The wings flapped, and he flew away somewhere.

Her back arched, a scream tearing from her lips as the shadows clawed into her light. The pain was unbearable. It burned and froze at once — darkness crawling into her veins, trying to drown the Moonfire. But in the depths of that agony, she heard it again — the softest whisper, calm and infinite, threading through her mind like wind through leaves. “The fire is not given, my child. It is chosen. Show Me what burns within you.” The Moon Goddess. Nova’s trembling stopped. Her breathing slowed. Tears of light rolled down her cheeks, glowing silver in the darkness.

Light emanated from within the moon, shining as brightly as a giant-shaped searchlight. My eyes, which should have been able to see in both darkness and bright light, were overwhelmed and ultimately surrendered. From that light emerged a figure that left me baffled as to how to define it. It was neither human nor animal. My eyes could only perceive a pair of wings, so enormous they spanned across the vast expanse of space, seemingly covering half the world. These wings were connected to a form that was blinding due to its brilliance. I assumed it to be the creature Cassian had referred to as the Thunder God's progeny, a creature that would punish anyone entering the labyrinth.

The Watchers raised their hands. “Repeat after us,” they said in perfect unison. “I am the flame that does not falter.” Her voice was strong. “I am the flame that does not falter.” “I am the howl that will not be silenced.” “I am the howl that will not be silenced.” “I am the balance that walks between stars and shadows.” “I am the balance that walks between stars and shadows.” “I am the Oath, and the Oath is me.” “I am the Oath, and the Oath is me.”

Nova Quinn The dream always starts the same. I’m standing in a field of ash. The ground is scorched black, trees burned down to skeletal stumps. Everything smells like smoke and lightning. Above me, the sky churns in slow motion — red and gold bleeding through bruised clouds — and a moon hangs too close, too heavy, like it’s watching me. Then I see the fire. It slithers up from the cracks in the ground, licking around my bare feet like it’s been waiting. It doesn’t burn. It welcomes. And when I open my mouth to scream, the flames pour out like a second voice — loud, ancient, hungry.

He is everything I need right now and could possibly want. Silas breaks the kiss too quickly and I'm out of breath and reeling- panting himself he looks at me a little sheepish. "Did I just take your breath away little one or was that kiss just me?" Winking like he has waited all day to say and do that he stares at me and smiles. "Look up little one." As he points his index finger towards the sky I see the moon brighten to a point I've never witnessed. A clear sign our union has been accepted by the goddess of the moon. We witches of the wood may not be shifters but we do worship the same goddess and she has always been good to us.

"Then the moon goddess showed me a vision. A white wolf. A woman with dark hair and storm grey eyes. She said my mate was coming. She said to wait." "You waited," Lyra whispered. "I waited," Kael said. His hand found her face, calloused fingers on her cheek. "And now I do not have to hide anymore." Ten minutes passed. Sena stood and brushed the dirt from her dress. "We should move," she said. Kael nodded, stepping back from Lyra. But his hand found hers and held it as they walked into the trees again, the northern border waiting somewhere ahead.

He froze, listening, the blade gleaming faintly in the moonlight that slipped through the curtains. Then it happened. The door didn’t creak this time. It burst. A rush of cold air flooded the cabin as the Second Watcher filled the frame, tall and shadowed, his face masked by the dark. For one fleeting second, Mara thought she was dreaming again. That she had conjured him from the night itself. But then his voice came, low and commanding: “Move.” The First Watcher sprang to his feet, knife raised, teeth bared. “You—”
