****Trigger warning: Assult mentioned. Please use catuion reading this chapter. The event is completly fictional but your mental health is important please reach out to someone if this causes your distress.*** Three days before my birthday and for the first time in many years I woke feeling calm and happy. Wayne and Clarissa had introduced me to a few other members of the pack the night before and had kept me away from the Blood Moon Pack for the rest of the evening, I noticed the alpha’s grandson had kept his eyes on me most of the night but Wayne always blocked his path if he attempted to walk towards us. I was surprised the hours had passed so quickly but suddenly Alpha James was having e

How the hell did that happen? Having no time to process these sudden unexpected mind link powers, I ran and jumped as high as I could muster, at the nearest tree. Clinging onto a branch with all my strength I managed to climb up on it before the rogue beneath me attempted to pull me down. Seconds later the rogue was shot dead by someone in the bushes opposite. I screamed in panic but then out jumped Ben and Daniel in their wolf forms along with a few of the warriors. Ben's wolf was beautiful, thick black fur and and he was extremely strong. Taking down the remaining rogues easily in a matter of seconds. We were finally safe but Ben was furious to say the least. They quickly changed back to

Wonder mixed with unease. Where is the moon I know? Are you there? "We are in peace." The voice came from within, calm and certain. Peace? "This is what it feels like to stand on the goddess' moon. When fire comes, she will leave us alone." So we are standing... "Under her safety. Yes." A paw lifted to scratch behind my ear. The motion felt grounding. Butterflies drifted into the clearing. They were wrong in a way I couldn't name. Red and yellow wings shimmered with heat instead of light. They circled me slowly, brushing against my fur like they recognized me.

"But Phoenix... the High Council isn't surrendering. They’ve just identified the final target. They're sending the 'Apostles'—the original shifters who never let go of the moon." A low, rhythmic thrumming echoed from the sky—not drones. From the clouds, three massive, bone-white towers began to descend. The Watchers were no longer hiding in orbit. The gods were coming to reclaim their hardware. "Leo," I hissed, my gold hand finding the hilt of my shard-blade. "The heaven is falling." "Let it fall," Leo growled, his golden flecks flaring with a sovereign resolve. "Mommy's the one who's going to catch it."

The next evening, I went to the Ravenwood night market alone. The downtown street outside the packhouse had been closed for the full-moon fair. Food trucks lined both sides of the road, neon signs glowed in storefront windows, and young wolves gathered around the training square where blue moonfire burned in metal drums. Moonfire was a ceremonial flame made from silver-pine resin and moon oil. It burned bright and beautiful, hot enough to scar if someone got careless, but it wouldn’t kill a wolf the way wolfsbane would. In our pack, an Alpha danced through the moonfire before choosing his Luna. It was old-fashioned, a little reckless, and ridiculously romantic. In my last life, Kyle had lear

I was cast out of the pack with nothing— No title. No Luna severance. No den to call my own. And then… perhaps the Moon Goddess took pity on me. She gave me one final chance to rewrite fate. This time, I won’t beg for his love. This time, I won’t tether him to pain. This time, I’ll sever the bond before it begins. I could already hear the gears of fate turning, and this time, I would move first. --- A blinding light burst from the hands of the Moon Goddess.

The hooded figure slowly turned toward the altar and ancient symbols glowed faintly across its surface. "The girl survived." "Yes." Another pause. Then— "Interesting." The figure's fingers brushed the altar. "And what of the blood?" The wolf hesitated, then replied— "It awakened." For the first time— The hooded figure froze. The red flames flickered violently and the room grew colder. Much colder. Then slowly... Very slowly...The figure began laughing. A low laugh but dangerous. "The Moon Goddess truly has a sense of humor." The wolf remained emotionless, then the laughter stopped, and mmediately, the figure's voice became cold.

Lord Damaris asked. Arianna paused, thinking for a few seconds. “Fangs and claws symbolize the Moon Realm. Fire and wings symbolize the Dragon Keepers. Why do you think wings capable of withstanding fire were gifted to ancient Lycans?” Her brows furrowed. “She is a fallen goddess, punished for saving the Moon Realm. Isn’t that proof enough?” Lord Valoreth scoffed. “Words are not enough. We prefer to believe what we see.” “No—you prefer to believe what you want. You’re just afraid to accept the whole truth,” Arianna countered, her calmness wearing thin.

When she turns her face from the flames, wincing at the heated bite, I drag her a foot away, and make the fire bigger. I’m not sure how long this goes on. The watch on her wrist is busted, the glass shattered and the face within burnt to a crisp. The clouds hanging low above us promise rain, but the wind moves them across the sky before they dump water over the fire, and the sky opens to stars that… that I know. That I remember.

'What does that mean? 'There is an old record at Silvermoon, from before the current line of Lunas. I saw it once, and I have not seen it since. It speaks of a Silvermoon Luna from long ago who wielded a power called Moonfire. The power was the wolf's soul and the Moon Goddess's strength bound together. The passage says Moonfire could call silver-blue flames that would not burn the one who held them, but would consume shadows and break curses. Those flames could sweep across a battlefield without touching the living. It was rare and used to push back dark forces. When it awoke in the Luna for the first time, the awakening was too much for her wolf and put her into a coma. A fever coma. It di
