The racks of computers were gone. In their place stood a vast circular chamber with black obsidian walls that pulsed with faint blue energy. In the center hovered the Core—a swirling mass of liquid shadow and glowing code, roughly humanoid in shape but constantly shifting. It had no face, only two burning white points of light where eyes should be.
