HALF BREED

HALF BREED

This was the time to use it. Then, as the ex-officer scanned his surroundings, something caught his eye. A fly form! Coming in from the east. The Free Forces? Or the rescue team he hadn't dared hope for? His heart beating like a triphammer, uncertain of what to do, Usmos watched the aircraft grow larger, felt the air press down around him, and plugged his ears against the whine of the engines. The fly form felt like a hawk, grabbed the car with a set of belly clamps, and snatched it right off the road. The engine revved, and the wheels spun as they lost contact with the pavement. The cyborg's belly was only five feet away.

The Alpha Protocol

The Alpha Protocol

Six months have passed since the sky was over Ouroboros. I knelt on the hard, black obsidian floor of the former megacity, but at this point was covered by a thick layer of genuine, moist earth. My hands were buried deep in the dirt. It was not a toxic mud more. It was life. I carefully pressed the fine, green shoots of young tomato and Onion plants to the earth. As a planting box served the hollowed, solid Breast chassis of an old Juggernaut cyborg. Where once a deadly plasma core

Blood on the Asphalt biker

Blood on the Asphalt biker

The glowing blue chain wrapped around the legs of another Sun-Guard, slicing cleanly through the servo-motors and bringing the giant crashing to its knees. It was a brutal, medieval brawl fought with the weapons of gods. I stayed on the periphery, moving from cover to cover. I couldn't fight an eight-foot cyborg hand-to-hand, but I had my own battlefield. I pulled my deck, locking onto the internal navigation frequencies of the remaining Hell-Pods still drilling beneath us. "Leo!" I shouted into my comms. The teenager and the other Code-Born were locked safely inside the Citadel lobby, watching through the reinforced glass. "I need a data-spike! Push the Origin-Code into the mainframe!"

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

That officer appeared in front of that cyborg right away and punched that cyborg in the chest. That cyborg’s face remained motionless in the face of the officer’s speedy and ferocious punch. He raised his head and looked at that officer with a hideous grin. That cyborg then raised his hand and clenched it around the officer’s neck, lifting his body high above his head. The cyborg’s eyes widened, and something that looked like lasers shot out of his eyes, burning that officer to ashes. A group of Klock’s agents knelt in a row in a quiet corner of the building a few moments later.

Mr. CEO, Your Miracle Doctor Ex-Wife is Unreachable

Mr. CEO, Your Miracle Doctor Ex-Wife is Unreachable

The engineering bay smelled of ozone, burning copper, and the sharp, metallic tang of Dante’s own blood. He was no longer just a man sitting in a maintenance chair; he was an extension of the ship’s architecture. The thick, pulsing cybernetic cables burrowed into his neural ports, washing his pale face in alternating waves of haunting blue and vicious red light. Every throb of the cables injected another sequence of the Ouroboros strain directly into his nervous system, turning his biological mind into a battlefield against a digital god.

The Billionaire’s Secret Little Heir

Omega Wave."

THE THING INSIDE YOUR HEAD (#TIME GODS SERIES)

THE THING INSIDE YOUR HEAD (#TIME GODS SERIES)

He had two cyborgs who went by the names, Karen and Kaycie. At the moment, it had been thirty minutes since Anderson Simpson, Harrison Edgeton and Jocelyn Redwood, and a strange robot they never knew Anderson possessed, disappeared with a strange vehicle-like contraption. It was just too unbelievable. To worsen the whole thing, they weren't able to hack into their conversations because the microchips they'd implanted had somehow become ineffective in Anderson's home. Unknowingly to them, it was because of a tech Anderson'd created about a year ago which deactivated integrated circuits anywhere in his house.

Bound to the Moon: The Exorcist's Accidental Alpha

Bound to the Moon: The Exorcist's Accidental Alpha

It was chained to the rock with massive, glowing runes—Taoist binding spells that had been corrupted by time. "Subject 004-Delta," Caleb’s voice shifted slightly, the analytical tone of the AI blending seamlessly with his own observations. "Designation: The Cinder-Husk. Status: Dormant. Threat Level: Extreme." "It's not just dormant," Scarlett whispered, pulling out her jade brush. "It's suffering. Look at the chains. They aren't holding it; they're feeding on it. This thing is a living battery." "Then we put it out of its misery," Caleb said. He didn't transform into his wolf form. Instead, he simply took off his jacket, revealing the intricate, silver tattoos that now covered his arms—the

After all, they've been involved in this whole entertainment facade right from time and have been acting on Wesley's instructions. But then, the lady from the coasters had delayed getting Josh's body from the water and therefore, when her men came to get the body, unknown to them that it was a cyborg, due to the long period it had been in the water, the delicate internal components of the cyborg suffered a few damages, compromising its functionality despite how the men from the Croxxed X had tried to protect his delicate inner features. Nonetheless, Wesley's resourceful team managed to salvage partial data from the damaged tracking device. They traced the cyborg's path before the signal abru

His Lordship Alexander Kane

His Lordship Alexander Kane

The cyborg reacted swiftly, raising its hands to defend. Thud! The punch landed, unleashing a powerful burst of energy that dislodged one of its metal arms. Another punch followed, slamming into its chest, forcing it back and causing a concave dent. The cyborg was above the level of a Lord of War. "Impressive. Truly remarkable to have created such a formidable being." Alexander clicked his tongue, growing more intrigued by the exiled scientific marvel. If this cyborg could be mass-produced, it would be an army surpassing that of the Lord of War, sending shivers down one's spine at the mere thought.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cyborg characters in sci-fi always seem to fit a few recurring molds. You've got the enforcer type, like a lot of the heavily augmented corporate security or street-level muscle—all chrome fists and tactical optics, tools for a higher power. Then there's the reluctant weapon, someone who maybe didn't choose all that hardware and is now wrestling with their own humanity. That's the classic 'Ghost in the Shell' territory. But I'm noticing a cooler trend lately in some serials, where the cyborg isn't the frontline fighter but the team's hacker or sensor specialist. Their enhancements are about perception and data-streams, not firepower. It flips the power dynamic; their strength is in seeing what others can't, which makes for great tension when the brawnier characters have to rely on them.

Honestly, the most overused role is probably the tragic, stoic lone wolf. We get it, the metal is a prison, the flesh is weak, cue the brooding. I'd love to see more cyborgs who are just... pragmatic about it? Like, a medic whose augmentations let them perform battlefield surgery in seconds, not as a tragedy but as a professional upgrade. The genre gets stuck on the loss of humanity, but sometimes survival or doing your job really well is a more interesting story than endless angst.
