The whip came down again, but I couldn’t scream anymore. My throat hurt, my body felt weak. Halfway into the punishment, my head dropped forward. Suddenly, a loud bang echoed through the warehouse, the doors burst open. “Everybody drop your weapons, now.” The voice was deep, strong, and familiar. My heart jumped. Damon. Men rushed in from behind him, big men. All of them were armed, guns pointed at Helena and her thugs. “Let her go,” Damon growled. Helena stood up slowly, her face pale, but she forced bravery.

One soft click. The picture came out tasteful but teasing, enough to make him grin. She smiled, selected Darren’s name, hit send. Then tossed her phone onto the bed and poured herself a glass of cheap red wine. Next week, she'd have her bags packed, ready to head to Maysville, the small town she'd grown up in for Christmas. Cainan and Jasmin reached for the box containing the Christmas light, pulled away at the same time and then stared awkwardly at each other for the few moments that passed.

He gave a mischievous smile, winking at him, and Daniel laughed. “Yeah! I am buying this big fat lie.” He left out a chuckle, poking a finger in his protruding tummy again. “Merry Christmas, Santa!” He smiled. “Goodbye,” “Merry Christmas! Goodbye,” The man said and Daniel walked past him. He exited the gates of the church and realised he had to give his pen back. He turned, his eyebrows furrowed, as there was no trace of any man near the red mailbox. He looked around but there was no one at a far distance.

Everyone here is awake and waiting for twelve o'clock because we will eat together and have a picture. West, Ycson, Sol and Eros are on the kitchen. There are many Beer and Wine glasses on the table.
