"This was my mum's favorite perfume before she died. It was very difficult to get and she would always wait in line for months despite how wealthy she was. It has such a pleasant smell. I've always wanted to buy it but I can't afford it right now. How were you able to get it, Tanya?" Tanya tried to think of what to say. The only thing she knew about this perfume was the name that Colby Tanner had mentioned to her in the morning. She was afraid that if she lied, it would lead to more questions which in the end will only make Derek see her as a phony.

Chapter Two: SIGHTING Later that night, Rojean dolled up to go to a place that was both a nightclub and a bar that everyone was talking about. She was old enough, for sure, especially if she was going to get married soon. But she was never the kind of person to go out on the weekends, to a club or even a bar and always preferred the comfort of their apartment which Lucas didn’t mind at all even when he wanted to go out. Then she sniffed the air, her nostrils flared up, then her eyes widened as they stabbed mine. “That perfume. Is that from you?” I sniffed the air myself, faking a confused frown. “Perfume? I don’t smell anything special. Just my new soap.” She took a step closer, her eyes boring into mine. “Don’t lie to me, Charlotte. That is an expensive female perfume from SayBosslady. Where did you get it?”

he drawls smugly, “making me money, pushing my substance, and making a name for herself.” The way he says it is designed to provoke me. My heart thunders. Vanilla. That damn scent. It suddenly makes sense now. The perfume, the chills I felt earlier. Vanilla is Dante’s favourite fragrance; he used to make me wear it back when we were dating. His eyes rake over me with that same seductive hunger, but I refuse to fall for a man who destroys lives for profit.

“I’ll have the latest and most expensive series from the Anderson company sent to your home. Choose as many as you like. My treat.” The sales associate was still holding out the bottle of, what was it, Dew Drops of Moon or some shit, her hand paused mid-air, an uncomfortable look on her face. Clearly, she didn’t know whether or not to keep going with her sales pitch, now that I’d insulted the perfume. To my surprise though, Diana unhooked her arm from mine.

Selena replied with a slight grumble as she denied it. "Oh, really? Then you should see!" Damian retorted, he seemed to enjoy teasing her. "No kidding! You're having a breakdown, aren't you?!" snapped Selena. Damian just shook his head softly as he walked back to the walk in closet to get dressed. He sprayed some perfume before putting the clothes around his neck. And then picked up his own neatly arranged clothes. The scent of Damian's perfume spread throughout the room. Selena even inhaled deeply when it felt good. She recognized this smell. She knew that this was exactly the fragrance that always accompanied Damian. And it even clung to his blanket.

She laughed confidently. “Don’t worry, bestie. We won’t get caught. Everything will be fine.” Then she leaned in and tapped my nose playfully. “We are wearing rogue-grade scent-concealing perfume. We smell like nobodies.” Her response suddenly reminded me of a small gray bottle that she had given me earlier. “Put this on. Trust me.” I was a bit skeptical about that nameless perfume, but now, it turned out that she had prepared all this beforehand. Stacy was such a genius!

I heard the woman curse before I heard her loud footsteps away from us. A part of me wanted to celebrate. I feel like I won. For what reason? I do not know. Luna and I are far from each other but I can smell the fragrant fragrance of her perfume. It's a sweet combination of raspberry, orange and marshmallow scents. That doesn't hurt the nose. In fact, I like it. Luna's perfume is guaranteed to be loved just by smelling it.
