Dani Long Way Down Novels & Stories

he bowed a forty-five degree and I internally rolled my eyes, for the nth time this night. I followed the attendant, alongside my knights and maids that accompanied me. It was a long walk. Endless hallways with gold and silver interiors. Chandeliers that lit everything, making it seem all of it sparkled at every angle. I stridden down the long stairs, and at the end of it, was my family.

How can you make a mockery of something so serious? "I'm Lena's brother! I'm her guardian!" Timothy said, his brows furrowing as he looked at Hayden. "This is how you've been taking care of my sister? Do you even know that she almost couldn't pick up a paintbrush again with her right hand? "And the designer Lewis Grooup has been collaborating with, Lumi Oren? It's Lena. You nearly ruined her future!" Hayden looked at Timothy, his indifferent face now icy and stern. I knew he was angry now.

Tears streamed down my face as I replied, "It's alright. Thank you, Connor." All of a sudden, he got on one knee and fished out a ring from his pocket. Gazing at me, he said, "Sydney, I know this is far from the dream proposal you deserve, but I've waited for ten years, and I can't bear to wait even another second longer. Sydney Morrigan, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" I smiled. "Yes, I will." Aside from being engaged, I received another piece of good news that day: Connor had called for help, and I had gotten sent to the hospital just in time. If I had waited even a few minutes more, my leg would have been beyond saving.

The day the university released the family placement positions for doctoral graduates, I went straight to the Human Resources Office to register. But the staff member barely looked up before rolling their eyes. "Mr. Slater, everyone at this university knows you cheated on your wife and are about to leave the marriage with nothing. How do you still have the nerve to ask about the placement position?" I thought there had been some kind of misunderstanding. I rushed home, hoping to explain everything to my wife, only for my mother to slap me across the face. "I don't have a shameless son like you. Get out of Natalie's house!" I was driven back to the rural school where I had spent the past

Dani said nervously, although she was fairly sure that the answer was no. "Of course not. Do I look like the sort of guy who has a record." Dani shook her head. "No, you really don't. I think I'm more likely of the two of us to have one." They drove for ten tense minutes before the lights came on and Dani held her breath, waiting to see what Waylon was going to do. She half expected him to slam his foot down on the accelerator and take off. Instead he eased his car over onto the shoulder of the road and turned off the engine, rolling down the window and keeping his hands resting lightly on the wheel.

A little sympathy, I hope you can show me If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely If you're leavin', baby, let me down slowly Let me down, down, let me down, down, let me down Let me down, down, let me down, down, let me down If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely If you're leavin', baby, let me down slowly Cold skin, drag my feet on the tile As I'm walking down the corridor And I know we haven't talked in a while So I'm… Emir Blackiston point of view❤

Levi’s head hit the ceiling and the singing abruptly stopped. “Aw shit! Sorry!” Dani said, hitting the brakes to slow down on the road. “I wasn’t paying attention. I didn’t know you could sing.” Levi grinned as he rubbed the top of his head. “I don’t really. Just in the shower and the car. I like Chris Stapleton. He’s got a lot of real feeling to him.” “I agree. I saw him in concert in Dallas a couple of years ago. Loved it!” Dani turned into Levi’s driveway.

Sharky's with Doug and Melissa started ok. We ordered and had had some drinks and appetizers when the beer started working on my bladder, and there was no ignoring it anymore. I had to visit the ladies' room. Rob stood up to let me slide out of the booth, but I tripped over his foot when I stood up. It scuffed my shoe, and I said, "Shoot! I love these shoes."

She looked young, so she was probably still in high school. "Hey, lover boy! Let's go!" Landon shouted as the team finished packing and was ready to go. I got into the van where everyone was waiting. Not everyone, though. Kasey has already fallen asleep at the back. Landon was sitting cross-legged and playing with his I pad. I didn't want to bother Clark since he was probably tired too so I decided to listen to music instead. I rummaged into my bag, looking for my earphones, when an unfamiliar notebook fell.

Ruby flung her phone across the room in a rage. Suddenly, Jack burst through the door, barely able to hide his excitement. "Honey, we've got a way out! Grand Globe Group, the company we've been trying to reach, just sent me a message. They're interested in our project and want to talk about a follow-on investment. With that money, we can hire a top-tier team out of Digital Valley. Once that happens, those old men won't have anything left to say, and the project can keep moving!" -
