Chapter Eight Damon stood, dazed and transfixed to the ground as he watched Rose and this stranger, all soaked with sweat and having the time of their lives. She took one and clipped the bottom, lit it and inhaled deeply, releasing a thick puff of smoke.

Hearing that, my departed soul turned away, smiling miserably.
