“What-” “No.” Draven interrupted and we all turned to look at him. I narrowed my eyes at his expressionless look and then looked at Vincent, who was now looking at me with a small frown as well. What was their problem? They don’t have to be so cold just because I’m playing a game and actually enjoying for once. “Draven, it’s just a game-” Danny started but stopped when Draven gave him a look. Everyone went silent and I only glanced at Draven once but was already able to notice the hint of both annoyance and anger in his eyes.

Danny is already tearing his gift open as I put my glass shielding myself from him, “I have something else too, but you couldn’t possibly unpack that one in front of the boy.” He grins slyly, leaning in to kiss me. “God, this is Christmas is getting better by the second.” I chuckle as he pulls his arm away from me to open his gift. “Nooooo fucking wayyyy,” Danny shouts excitedly, making Arawn groan. “Your French, Danny!” But Danny ignores him as he turns around the game in his hand with a gasp. “Is it the one you were talking about?” I ask, and he nods repeatedly.

i mumble as i sat down and start scanning the table for my baby Pancakes But I don't see any , I look over at Jen confused as to why there are no pancakes she notices my confused face and points at Danny I look sober at him and he has the whole plate of pancakes infront of him as he devours them like his a freaken king Kong "Danny why do you have all the pancake"I grit out clenching my fists as I want to strangle the little weirdo He simply looks at me and smirks as he eats his pancakes now in slow mo not breaking eye contact with me That's it he had been pushing me for the past one week I grab a bottle of vinegar in my hand as I look at him with a smirk

I laughed as I watched Jack’s eyes widen at the size of the burger that arrived in front of him, along with the pint of strawberry ice cream milkshake. I tried to at least pay for some of the meal, not having enough to cover the whole bill. But Danny insisted on paying. After dinner, we went back to Danny’s place. It turned out that he had a games and movie room, equipped with a huge screen and surround sound. I saw Jack’s eyes light up as he took in the floor to ceiling shelves full of every game for every console. Jack selected some kind of shooting game that I had never heard of. I watched as him and Danny sat on the large sofa chairs and began to play, throwing jibes and playful insults

"Where's your little grandson today? He must be quite big now." "Well, when my grandson caught wind of a supposed 'bad person' coming, he got a little spooked and started crying. His parents thought a playtime outing might do the trick," Danny replied sarcastically. The atmosphere tensed as the unspoken question lingered. Who could this bad person be? Ironically, it was Danny. Despite being tagged as the bad guy, Danny managed to keep his frustration at bay. Mustering a smile, he countered, "Hector, your sense of humor remains as sharp as ever. After all these years of friendship, how could you paint me as the villain?"

He asked, keeping his hand in his pocket. “Someone hacked our system!!” Christian spat, massaging his temples, and Danny widened his eyes. “So, what are you doing here? Let’s go.” Danny said. “I am waiting for Mishka. You go ahead, I’ll see you in the office.” Christian answered, and Danny smirked. He took a few steps back while facing Christian, and the latter watched his childish behaviour. “It looks like Mr Christian Knight cannot afford to live a single day without Mrs Knight,” Danny commented with a wide grin on his face and ran towards his car before Christian could catch him.

It was still apparent on his face that he was going through something, but I felt proud of him for managing to get out of bed and attend the game tonight. I went to hug Danny, wrapping my arms around his neck as he laced his arms around my waist, almost lifting me from the ground. His chin was on my shoulder as I pulled him tight to make him feel a bit better. I remembered myself in a devastating situation and the only thing that cured my mood was a tight hug from Liam. Pulling away from him, I grasped his arms and looked him in the eyes. “You came,” I said. “I can’t miss the game with you guys,” Danny responded.

"Neither do you, doofus. But I know because he's my brother, and he thinks he can exploit our weakness, which is defending the pass play." "Doofus? What are we, nine?" Tate jabbed me in the arm. I grimaced. "Sorry. Hanging out with Danny tends to bring out my inner little brother. Would you be more comfortable with me calling you asshole?" "Nah. I kind of like the doofus bit. You know me and my retro slang." "Yeah, that's true." "Hey, are you two finished making out over there? Can we get back to playing this game, or do you need to cuddle for a few more minutes?" Danny stood a couple of yards away, hands on his hips.

I shimmied into Danny's varsity jacket as we walked toward the parking lot, and pulled it tightly around my body. Danny was standing against his red pickup truck, talking on the phone to someone, assumedly his mom. She hadn't been able to make it to the game tonight, since his little sister was sick all afternoon. I watched him as he ran a hand through his messy hair, chuckling at something his mom said. His mom was his kryptonite, he was an absolute mama's boy. He caught me out of the corner of his eye, and his face lit up. "I gotta go, I love you." He said quickly, and hung up as I walked up to him. "Hi." He pulled me close to his side and leaned down to kiss my forehead.
