Ember's POV When I woke, the world was wet stone and cold iron. My arms were stretched above my head, chains biting into my wrists until my skin burned. The air shimmered faint blue, alive with whispers that hummed against my bones. Every breath I took tasted like metal and ash. My disguise was gone....no bandages, no cloak, no voice to hide behind. Just me. Ember. And the truth I’d spent months burying.

"Ember," The sound of Damien's voice made Emberlynn jump, and her lips parted to let out a scream due to the suddenness as she wasn't expecting anyone. But the sound was cut off by Damien's large palm on her mouth. He pulled her to him, her back pressing into his hard chest, and he whispered. "What the fuck are you doing out here? I believed you were sleeping." "No," replied Emberlynn, her voice muffled. Then she shook her head.

“Boys, you can relax for a while. The you go back on playing. Okay?” “Yes, hyung.” The boys chorused. Oh, they are really cuties! Then they turn to us. “Hello again, Iyah-noona! Hello, Ayla-noona! I’m Danny, the drummer and a cousin of JD-hyung. Nice to meet you.” Danny introduced himself to Ayla-unnie. “Hello, Danny. Nice to meet you.” unnie said. “And I like your necklace, very fashionable.” She commented. “Thank you, noona.” Danny said with a smile.

‘I will definitely be taking home the VMA award for best warrior dance moves and voice this year. ‘You will definitely be taking the idiot in love award.’ Ember laughs. ‘Are you sure you don’t want a mate?’ I shake my head at her. She huffs. “What a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man (yes he is)” I grab a mat and start working on my sit ups still singing as sexy as I can, even though Ember is now howling in pain. “You so crazy, I wanna have your baby.”

“Well, that’s about it. Nothing more to know.” She snorted back at her. “Liar. I saw what you did to those other guys. What did you do to freak them out so much?” Dannie grinned part in satisfaction and in part to try and freak her out. “I have that effect on people. I can walk into a room and people back away or try to kick my ass as if to prove to themselves I’m not a threat to them.” Dannie decided to keep the part about her being an empath to herself.

The one connected to my Sexy Red persona. Danny's name flashed on the screen. What could he possibly want? My hands were shaking as I grabbed the voice modulator and answered. "Hello?" I said in my altered voice. "Sexy Red, hi," Danny said, and something in his tone made my stomach drop. "Hi," I responded carefully. "I thought about everything you said," Danny continued, his voice oddly calm. "And there's something important I need to tell you. Can we meet? Just briefly. In the next ten minutes. This is very important."

Sassy said and Alpha Drake nodded. "I know right, that is how I felt when I found you." He said and Sassy blushed. Dana bumped into Emily as she was on her way to her room. Emily tried to walk away, but Dana called her back. "Emily," She called and Emily rolled her eyes. "Yes ma'am." She said and Dana smirked. "Look, I have no beef with you, okay?" Dana said. "Okay," Emily said. "And also, I got the deal. I am the student ambassador." Dana announced and Emily gave her a small smile.

Felt like home. "I have a hot date tonight," Ember announced, bubbling with excitement. "Spill the details!" I urged. Ember bounced up and down. "I don't want to seem too eager. He's really cute." Ethan raised an eyebrow from across the room. "Who is this guy?" Ember rolled her eyes. "Just someone I met, Ethan. Don't worry." “I met him at the dog park when I took Titan.” "I don't think he knows my last name," Ember added.

She couldn't even form full sentences. " It was dark and cold. We felt like spectators in our own bodies. I called out to you boys, hoping you all would hear me, but I didn't feel you at all. Instead, we felt Ember. Her spirit reached inside of us and pushed War away. Damien cannot kill her. Ember is still in there. Ryder is in there as well", Dad spoke. "Ryder is in there?", I asked him, making sure I heard him correctly, and he nodded.

I refrain from asking, arching my brow instead. "Shoot, that came out wrong, what I meant was- " " I know what you meant but no, I'm not curled up in my room, crying and wishing my problems go away, I'm here having a nice time with my cousin. Just like you guys are right?" I say, gesturing to the two of them. " Yeah. Um about Danny and-" " Danny's here." Sam speaks up, stopping Amber mid sentence. We all turn to face Danny who's in red jogger pants, white sneakers and a white shirt, he looks really good.
