Her next words, though, had my skin tingling with excitement, and it brought a pleasant smile to her own face. “There are amazing books of all genres in here. If you’re a book lover, you can always pop one out for a read—as long as you take care of it and always return it,” Danny said with a glint in her eyes. “As night watchers of the vale, we’re allowed to take three books at a time.” She laughed softly, and my lips curled into a smile of my own, holding back my bouncing excitement. This was exceptionally thrilling—until a scent assaulted my nostrils.

He turned and retrieved a heavy tome from the counter behind him, then walked over and sat it in front of William. It was a beautiful book with a hand-woven navy-blue front cover. It was decorated with ancient magic symbols, long forgotten by all but a select few. Paoli opened the book with one hand and pointed out the section.

I sat back in my chair by the window, prepared to spend the rest of the afternoon reading when a shiver ran down my spine. I jumped out of my seat and spun around to see a pair of yellow eyes glowing in the corner of the room. As those eyes drew closer to me, I realized that it was Simon, the fae that came to warn me the other day.

But to be honest, she already knew and had information about them that she got from Dannie. Sena almost laughed when she remembered a book that Dannie gave her entitled 'Walters Gang'. The book has a cover of 4 cubs eating honey. Anyone who saw the book would have thought that it was a children's book, not an important book detailing the ins and outs of the Walters family.
