“This is between you and me. So, let’s settle it, Denis.” Ghost’s eyes narrowed and his face warped into a twisted mask of anger and indignation. “Denis died a long time ago. My name is Ghost.” He walked forward and put his gun right against Will’s forehead. The girls yelped in fear at the sudden movement. Alex and Spencer were rigid as terror gripped them as well. “And I am here to haunt you.” It happened in slow motion. Ghost’s arm moved from Will towards Emma his finger tightening even more around the trigger.

He almost whispered. The werewolf suddenly realized his grave error. “Please forgive me—” “You failure!” Ghost snarled and flicked his hand. A curved, shiny and metal instrument of death flew out of his hand and straight into the werewolf’s neck with a wet chunk. Watery choke sounds filled the room, acting as a gruesome background music to Ghost’s toe-curling voice as he yelled to the guards standing in the shadows. “Spread the word far and wide, Rhea Damon is now at the top of my wanted list. Anyone who brings her back to me, dead or alive will receive my honored reward!”

Then, from the darkness, a figure emerged. The Ghost. He was older, but his presence was as formidable as ever. His piercing blue eyes locked onto Dino, assessing, calculating. “You’ve grown,” the ghost said. His voice was rough, but there was something else there—a trace of regret. Dino didn’t waste time on pleasantries. “Why now?” The ghost exhaled. “Because you’re not just fighting a war, Dino. You’re fighting a trap.” Dino’s eyes narrowed. “Explain.”

Ghost offered a slight nod, her face unreadable, as Damon turned and began to walk away. Betty lingered behind for a moment, her eyes following his retreating figure. As Damon disappeared around the corner, Ghost remained for a moment, lost in thought. The memory of past battles and hard-won victories played in her mind like distant echoes. Even now, as he prepared to risk everything to revive Anna, Damon’s iron will and predatory grace reminded her why she had chosen this life. Ghost pulled out her phone just as the helicopter roared overhead. With a determined glance at the sky, she quickly dialed a number. The call connected, and a gruff male voice answered, "Ghost."

“It’s been a hellish night.” His tone of voice makes my stomach turn, because it feels like an understatement and a mercy all at once. Hellish doesn't begin to describe the images burned into my mind. The blood, the screams, and the way death arrived without warning or ceremony. I keep my eyes down, afraid that if I meet anyone’s gaze for too long, I might break apart completely. “Poor thing looks like she’s seen a ghost,” Daniella replies, and there is genuine concern in her tone, the warmth of her voice catching me off guard.
