Danny’s gaze sharpened. “Is he playing you?” I stared at him, disbelief rushing in hot and fast. “Excuse me?” “He’s got a reputation,” Danny said, frustration creeping into his voice. “You know that. He doesn’t do anything serious. He doesn’t stick around.”

I think it was only Raven who could take his brute strength. And, that was saying something considering Danny had gotten stronger in the last couple of years.
