Dannie closed her eyes, took in slow deep breaths, and held a mental image of the kitchen. She thought she felt a slight tingling over my skin, but Dannie wasn’t sure anything had happened until she heard Cass gasp, and the floor was suddenly not there anymore. Her stomach lurched and her eyes shot open, but Dannie couldn’t see anything at first, just darkness. Her vision cleared as soon as Dannie felt something solid beneath her feet. She stumbled back into the kitchen counter. She couldn’t believe it. It worked. Dannie traveled to the kitchen through shadows.
