Anna's POV And just like Erica said, Danny came over with a box of pepperoni pizza and drinks. Danny was Erica's boyfriend, they had been dating for eight months and I think they were a perfect match. With his sandy blond hair, tanned skin, dimpled cheeks, sea-green eyes that seemed to glow from afar, and his infectious smile but he was shy and reserved yet somewhat easygoing. There was a certain glow of affection in his eyes whenever he looked at Erica. It was as if she held the stars within her own eyes while also lighting up the entire galaxy that is Danny Phantom.

Danny lowers his eyes on his plate while I hold my cup up to shield my face. With a whisper, I get Arawn’s attention, and I shake my head. “Be nice. Please.” But he just scoffs, emptying his cup of coffee. “I have to make a phone call. Hurry up, Dan.” “Aam alrdy hwrrng.” Danny munches, looking like an abandoned puppy dog. Leaning forward, I get him to halt while looking at me. “Don’t be sad. We can do something fun next time.” He nods repeatedly, smiling happily, and I sit back up straight.

DON VITO SOME YEARS AGO, “Bring her in.” “I hope you did a neat job. No one saw you?” “Not at all,” Danny answered. Danny is one of my secret agents who does dirty jobs for me. Smuggling, Kidnapping, Murdering. He was good, sharp, and fast. He was the right person to do this job. I know how much Antonio loves and protects his sister. I already had him disoriented after I made one of my men at his place steal the suitcase.

Danny exhaled, it was the first time he didn't have answers and it’s making this a real problem. “Any doubts about who might be behind this,” I asked, getting up from the top of the table. Danny didn’t utter anything, it was like he was holding up something which he was afraid to say. “Say it, Danny, I know, you know something,” I ordered. He rubbed his chin and shrugged, shook his head to think once before saying anything, “It’s just my speculation….but… what I have seen and it's only pointed at, Luna’s daughter.”

“I’m glad I got one.” “Good for you.” Danny smirks, leaning back in the tub, enjoying the warm water as it soothes his muscles. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. "See you in the afterlife, Mary. In hell, maybe." He lets out a quiet laugh, his lips curving into a smirk. But his eyes remain empty. Exhausted. "Loving someone is really hard."

He quirked one teasing brow. Emily froze. She didn't want to offend them. Again. But she hadn't covered her surprise well enough, and it was too late to deny it. "Yes, actually," she admitted. "Like castles and moats-" "And a guy in a cape who 'vants to zuck yer blood'?" Paoli asked in his best Lon Chaney voice as he carried Amber past them and into the house. Her face flushed warm again. Maybe not the last part, but she certainly didn't expect them to be living in a completely normal split level just outside of a small town. She really had a lot to learn about the world she'd tumbled into.

The three men decided to sit on a bench near where Slaine was standing. “Why are you standing?” Danny asked, leaving one chair for his only sister. Slaine approached and joined the rest of the Red Cage group, while Jaxon appeared to be busy seducing Mia. Her head was still lying on the table, making Rey shake his head in pity, while Danny didn’t care, and Connor recorded everything from behind the newly released cellphone he purchased. “Look, that idiot has no idea how to seduce women,” Danny said as he opened the menu book.

I stated, looking over at Jonathan as he danced with his sister. Danny smiled as we danced. “I wouldn’t have missed it. As soon as Jonathan reached out to me, I made sure that we could all be here.” He paused, taking a moment to twirl me around before taking my hand again. “You look beautiful today. Jonathan is one lucky man. He better treat you right.” I laughed. “Or you will go all scary dad on him?” I asked, looking over at Jonathan who was giving me a strange look. Danny shrugged. “Maybe. I didn’t get to scare away your high school boyfriends, so I have time to make up for.”

I stood at the entrance of the Silver Claw Pack hospital, the cold wind cutting through me. A black pickup truck slowly pulled up in front of me, the bed filled with freshly picked herbs, the scent of morning dew still clinging to them. The door opened gently, and instead of the driver, it was Danny himself. He stepped out of the truck, walking slowly with a silver cane in hand, his steps steady and strong, the cane tapping rhythmically against the ground. He didn’t ask me to get into the car, but instead, he walked towards me.

Danny's POV The cabin of the car felt like it was shrinking, the air thick with the smell of expensive leather and the terrifying ozone of Chadwick’s rage. I was still holding the burner phone I had snatched from him. "Give me the phone, Danny," he said, his voice a low, vibrating hum that I felt in my teeth. "No!" I shoved it against my chest, right under my silk shirt. "You aren't killing anyone tonight. You are insane and you have a warped sense of humor."
