Uncle Lionel lingered for a while, standing near the conference window and watching the fading skyline.
Beside him, Mrs. Collins closed her file. “Do you think he’ll manage to fix it?” she asked.
Lionel chuckled, shaking his head. “Not a chance. Darius doesn’t have what it takes to survive pressure. He’s too soft, too sentimental. Damian, on the other hand he was born for this business.”
Mrs. Collins gave a faint, uncertain nod. “Maybe. But sometimes soft men surprise you.”
