Surrendering to the Billionaire

Surrendering to the Billionaire

The mention of my code name sent my heart racing, my breath catching in my throat. Grace's expression softened, almost maternal. "I am honored you chose to follow in my footsteps. But you must understand something. As much as we help others, as much as we punish those who deserve it, we also feed the darkness in ourselves. And if we do not have a source of light, a strong one, to keep us balanced…" She trailed off, her gaze distant, as though she were staring at her own ghosts. "We may lose ourselves. Excuse me," she said, brushing past me and leaving me alone with my thoughts.

Nanny For The Alpha's Lost Twins

Grace swallowed and put her hands into them. We waited in silence for a good thirty seconds, if not more. Then she spoke. “There is a dark presence in your life that has made its way inside you, telling you you’re not good enough, not strong enough, not smart enough. I see the future before you is full of dark shadows whispering their poison.” A tear spilled down Grace’s cheek. I could see Zane was forcibly holding himself from grabbing her away and keeping her safe. “Shall I tell you what I see beyond those shadows?”

THE BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET HEIR

THE BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET HEIR

“It’s all real. Enough here to bring the SEC down on him. Maybe even criminal charges.” Grace nodded, looking exhausted but determined. “Then use it. Stop him before someone gets hurt… or worse.” She left as the sun was coming up. No guards, no protection. Just her, walking out into the morning light like she had nothing left to lose. I watched her go and felt this heavy dread settle in my stomach. We’d taken everything from Harrison Jr., his reputation, his company, and now his sister. The one person he actually loved had turned against him. A man with nothing left is the most dangerous kind. Would we ever see Grace Blackwood alive again? Or had we just sent her straight into the fire?

The Bully's Obsession

The Bully's Obsession

"This scene looks familiar doesn't it? Enough talks , let's put everything to an end" "Are you sure about that? " I spoke softly meeting his gaze squarely. A shot rang out just outside... Then another. His gaze flew to mine... "son of a bitc......" his words were cut short when the door blasted open and many shots follow. Everything happened in a blur as Sebastian and some of our men blasted inside I launched myself towards Gracie in a flash ,producing a knife from my boot I stabbed the bastard holding her straight in his heart. He screamed out his pain, a satisfied look crossed my features when his blood spurted out coating my knife, his gaze were filled with surprise as he fell to the gr

I really liked the plot of this story. The beginning was super cringy and abusive, if you can get past that, the writer does develop the relationship in a way that makes sense. This story could use a lot of editing for grammar, misuse of phrases, and some timeline problems. Otherwise, a great story.

OH BABY GRACE

OH BABY GRACE

"Okay, no problem." They immediately got out of the car, Grace quietly wiped the sweat that was flooding her entire body. She began to understand why Mr. Emeron was one of the men she had to eliminate from the face of the earth. Grace became increasingly confident of resolving all her revenge in a very short time. She Nounderstand whether Mr.Flip conspired to make Charles situation even greater than it had been in England. "I hope you both meet death at the same time!"She said angrily. TBC.

Calm And Ruthless; The CEO Diamond

Rocky's Pov: "Please, don't kill me. I did everything the madam asked me to do, so please......." Gracie clamped her hands together, begging with her knees on the floor. "I don't want to either, you aren't worth my time but my mom begged me desperately to get rid of you, so what can I do? You should blame your new boss, not me" "What? That bitch, what did she do this time?" Gracie snarled, her eyes lit with fire but it was stupid, she hated Diamond but not her former boss who wanted her dead, I can never understand people.

THE TYCOON'S HIRED LOVE

THE TYCOON'S HIRED LOVE

She had dreamt and hoped for an opportunity when Mr Bright would take interest in her and now that the time had finally come, she was busy thinking of Enrique. "I like hiking and fishing on my free days, my ex-wife hated that, though. She said they were hobbies for suckers," Mr Bright said. Grace looked at him as he drove, he was far too handsome and perfect for anyone to find fault with. His ex-wife must have been out of her mind when she divorced him, Grace concluded. "That's not true, hiking is fun, although I know nothing about fishing," Grace smiled. The rest of the ride was spent with Grace telling Me Bright about her experience so far as Mr Black's assistant. Mr Bright seemed to find

In Between Lies

In Between Lies

Grey finally bit out, nodding stiffly at Gracie. She squealed with excitement and pulled her sleeves up. I’d just watched an entire argument and I still had no idea what was going on. She mumbled something to Will, and he placed her hands on E, one on her stomach and the other on her forehead. Gracie closed her eyes and furrowed her brows in concentration. “What is she doing?” I asked no one in particular. “Healing her.” Grey huffed, sounding very displeased. “You have nine minutes.”

THE LUNA ALPHA MATE

THE LUNA ALPHA MATE

The world is not ready for the consequences if ever Khaos was to find the truth of his heritage. But you see what this means. Our Gracie is Khaos’ cousin. The brutality of her father, her uncle and her cousin runs through her veins. The Moon Goddess was absolutely right. She is destined for great things, but what those things are is anyone’s guess. I’ll admit, I was almost scared of Grace when she was growing up. We kept her wolf bound, hidden away. We couldn’t allow her to bond with it. We had no idea what she was capable of. I shared my findings with Helen, and she agreed – anything we could do to stop Grace from finding out who she belonged to was a good thing and it seemed logical to hid

The story is good but I can’t accept the ending here. I already had a hunch that Khaos is still alive when there were rumors of sighting him. I even thought that his death was just an act but the epilogue clearly stated that he was brought back from the dead. When is the sequel coming out please???

RITUAL MATE GAMES: FATED ENEMIES

RITUAL MATE GAMES: FATED ENEMIES

I tried to breathe but it was impossible because the group was tight and for the first time our ice met and there it was. The magic that Aliaria had spoken about. It was evident at this point that Gracie must have done something during the breaks and now it wasn't Killian that was standing before me it was another person entirely. "If you are still there please listen up do not allow the magic consumes you. Gracie is manipulating you so fight through the darkness and embrace the light." His eyes flick out for a moment and his grip loosened but again his face turned into a frown second letter and the grip tightening forcing me to almost pour out there only content in my stomach.

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'Gracie: A Love Story' a while back, and it quickly became one of those reads that lingers in your mind long after you’ve turned the last page. It’s a heartfelt memoir written by George Burns, the legendary comedian, about his lifelong love affair with Gracie Allen, his partner both on stage and in life. The book isn’t just a recounting of their professional successes—though there’s plenty of that—but a tender, often funny, and deeply personal look at their relationship. Burns’ writing feels like sitting down with an old friend who’s sharing stories about the love of his life, complete with all the quirks and charms that made Gracie such a beloved figure.

What really struck me was how Burns captures Gracie’s unique personality. She was this incredible blend of wit and innocence, and her 'illogical logic' became a trademark of their comedy routines. The book dives into how their dynamic worked, both on and off stage, and how Gracie’s seemingly scatterbrained persona was actually a carefully crafted act. Burns doesn’t shy away from the tough moments either, like Gracie’s struggles with health issues later in life, which adds a layer of raw honesty to the story. It’s a celebration of partnership, creativity, and enduring love, wrapped in the kind of nostalgia that makes you wish you could’ve seen their vaudeville acts live. By the end, I felt like I’d gotten to know Gracie, not just as a comedic icon, but as a real, multifaceted person—and that’s the mark of a great memoir.
