Centuries have passed and that girl, even when it's tough for me to concede, is probably dead. Thus, another girl, a grown-up lady is always appearing. The entrance was covered with beautiful and pink flowers with the neon letters La Fleur. You wouldn't expect that inside it was a bar full of monsters doing drugs, sex, and feeding on people. I saw a familiar man coming out of the counter and making his way to me. I grinned at him and nodded, letting my red pupil show – a way to greet your co-vampires. He did the same too.

Slater quickly shushed her by pointing his gun in her direction. It wasn’t the recommended strategy, but it worked. “Shut up!” The girl whimpered, cowering back in the cell into the woman behind her. Matthew continued his scan. The fourth girl stood against the wall, her head back against the bricks as her lips moved quickly. He could hear her faintly, and it took a second before he made out the prayer for mercy she was chanting with her eyes closed. Mercy. “Macy Swan?” He asked, knowing from the picture he had studied that this was her, though they had done a hell of a job trying to hide her. Her black hair had been bleached blonde, and make-up was smeared across her face.

He took a deep breath and headed in– where though was anyone’s guess. Perhaps fifteen steps down the path, the walls peeled away into a large cavern. Apparently this was a subterranean grotto that had been carved out of the limestone bedrock in some iteration of the nearby river. Now it seemed to be an illicit gathering place, as a crowd of around forty people circled around a raised stone dais gracing the center of the vaulted cavern. Torches burned brightly, their glare dancing across the walls. Drums sounded, a rhythmic beat that matched the torches’ gambol. And all those bodies were naked.
