I caught sight of a pale looking slim man wearing a blue tight fitted tee shirt over black leather jeans and brown jacket to my right. He was standing far far away from the group so he was obviously not a part of us, he was looking down all along but as he lifted his head, I saw a his eyes turn deep red before he disappeared completely leaving me shivering against Lucas's body.

Paul continues, seemingly horrified by the thought of taking me to this king. “I— I don’t want to go. Can’t we—“ “No.” Paul looks wholly defeated. “I’m sorry but we have no choice. His gaze was empty as he stared at the distant neon lights, his profile under the dim streetlamp looking frail and defeated. In the background, across the street, the LED screen faintly showed a news clip of Lextron Technology’s conference. My face appeared clearly on the screen. The sender was anonymous.
