Darker Than Red

Darker Than Red

[LUNA] Here I am again, at the bar, trying to drown myself in liquor. But this isn't just any liquor—this one is different. A darker brew, gifted by the elder vampires themselves. I don’t know what’s in it, but it grips me, sends a shiver down my spine, makes the room spin just the way I want it to.

Dark Shadows

Dark Shadows

So I sat at my desk and got back to work on the computer. It didn’t take too long after that when I finally found something on the dark web. “Dad.” I said. “What?” He asked, looking up. “Vampires are talking. I don’t think they’re involved in what is happening. But they know about what’s going on.” I explained. “What do they say?” He asked, walking over to my desk. “That it’s not an isolated incident. One says that the country will be more aware by the time they hit the second town.” I said.

One Night With Mr Lucifer

One Night With Mr Lucifer

--- Hell was no place for the faint-hearted; it was a realm carved from shadows and fire, where despair lingered like a heavy mist. The skies were eternally cast in hues of deep crimson and black, split by cracks of molten lightning that illuminated the jagged, obsidian cliffs. Rivers of molten lava twisted through the land, their currents whispering secrets of lost souls. Towers of dark stone loomed ominously, each crowned with a flame that burned not for warmth, but to reflect the unending torment below. The air itself was alive, heavy with the wails of the damned and the hum of infernal power, a ceaseless symphony of agony and fury.

CROWNED BY BLOOD

CROWNED BY BLOOD

The very earth writhed in agony, and I knew with terrible certainty that this was my fault. The rivers now ran thick and black, as though the Cursemaker had slit the throat of the earth itself and let its lifeblood drain away into darkness. I watched from my mountain cave as the waters below turned foul, carrying death instead of life to the villages that depended on them. Fish floated belly-up in poisoned streams, their scales dulled to the color of ash, their eyes clouded with the same despair that had consumed my soul.

Forsaken Luna's Revenge

Forsaken Luna's Revenge

"But I need to do it anyway." We walk in silence for a while. The trees get thicker, the darkness deeper. My eyes adjust slowly to the lack of light. Then I see it. A clearing up ahead. And in the middle of that clearing, the Darkwater Lake. Even from this distance, I can feel something wrong about it. The water is completely black, darker than the night sky above it. No stars reflect on its surface. No moon shines there. It's like looking at a hole in the world.

Escaping From My Ruthless Alpha

Escaping From My Ruthless Alpha

Kamrynn's POV I floated in a vast expanse of black water, the abyss stretching endlessly in every direction. There was no light, no sound, no sense of up or down. The oppressive silence pressed against me, thick and suffocating, as if the darkness itself was alive. I struggled to move, but the water clung to me, pulling me deeper into the void. “Help,” I tried to cry out, but no sound left my lips. My lungs burned as the dark liquid filled them, choking me. The pressure in my chest grew unbearable, and my limbs felt like lead.

Charolette Hunt
This is a wonderful book and I truly hope that there is happiness for Kamryn on the other side of all her traumatic experiences. I will say that the author weaves complexity in her characters that makes us love and hate them at the same time.
Heather
I loved this book. The character growth and story progression were excellent. The author is also able to create side stories with all of the characters in the book. Lorien and Lyssa, Orion and Rmonica, Kevyn and Thalia. This book is a great example of a seasoned author.

Shhh Daddy won’t Know

Shhh Daddy won’t Know

The impact with Blackwood Lake was like hitting a wall of liquid ice. The freezing water punched the air out of Elena’s lungs, and the weight of her sodden silk gown immediately began to drag her down into the prehistoric chill of the depths. Above her, the surface was a chaotic shimmer of red and blue police lights, distorted and beautiful, like a dream she was drowning in. She clawed at the water, her movements sluggish and panicked. The darkness was absolute. For a terrifying moment, she felt the current pulling her away, the silence of the deep whispering that it would be so easy to just stop fighting.

DARK DIAMOND

DARK DIAMOND

She nodded. “It’ll take time,” I said quietly. “But I’m still here.” She gave me space. Later, I headed to the pool, trying to clear my head. The place was empty. I slipped into the water, swam toward the center, and began my routine When pain sliced through my lower abdomen. My breath hitched. Something was wrong. My strength faded quickly. Panic set in as darkness crept into my vision. And then…. Everything went black.

The Rejected Luna's Twin Alphas

The Rejected Luna's Twin Alphas

“We seek the Hydro-Node to break the Sequence! The Black Mountain is waking, and the sky is falling! We offer the Gold to those who have lived in the Dark for too long!” The lead Deep-Wolf—a massive creature with a tail like a leviathan and scars that glowed like neon across its flank—approached the glass. He didn't speak; he didn't have vocal cords for the air. Instead, he pressed a webbed, silver-clawed palm to the viewport, inches from my own hand.

The Alpha Protocol

Looking for his green eyes draw the shadows. “The consortium does not go deeper than until Shred. All of this is considered dead land.’ “Because no one survives this water, Kael,” I said and stood at the edge of the Abyss. A narrow grating led over the shining mouth. Away downstairs black, foaming flow of industrial waste and highly toxic Cooling water. Heavy, green mists crawled over the surface. The Steams burned in my lungs. Kael joined me. His eyes were staring at the dark, dead water.
